I post this complaint here because can't found a mailbox for reclamation.||we were welcomed by a very professional employee who gave us the keys to the flat and explained our stay, When we received the accommodation we found that the wifi was not working and that the air conditioning was not working properly, i reported the wifi problem to the reception. As we had planned an activity in the afternoon we were away until late in the evening when we returned the wifi problem was still there and the air conditioning was not working as it only expelled not cool air.||As it was late and the children were tired we decided to call the reception the next morning, as the room phone was not working either.||The next day I went to the reception where I had an exchange with a male employee who didn't understand why the wifi problem had not been solved the day before, I explained to him that the most important thing was the air conditioning, he did what was necessary to send a technician quickly, finding several defects in the room, including the air conditioning, the wifi, and a deafening noise from the fridge, The technician suggest to change room, which the reception granted us, this whole procedure took at least the whole morning, when I went to the reception to ask for a compensation for the inconvenience suffered, the employee on a rather annoying and not very commercial tone told us that he had already made a gesture by proposing another flat to us and which according to his words was bigger than the one we had paid for. to our great surprise when we took possession of the new flat we realized that it was exactly the same as the one we had the day before! ( (old room 11013 new one 19021) having no desire to waste any more time and above all to have a confrontation with your employee at the reception desk we were happy to settle down to finish our stay and leave not without a certain bitterness and a taste of a wasted stay.||This letter of dissatisfaction does not reflect all your employees but only the person with whom we had the confrontation, it does not reflect at all the excellence and professionalism that we expect to have in this kind of prestigious establishment...
Read moreA lovely short break, centred around my brother's birthday earlier in June 2022. Excellent reception staff welcomed us and we were quickly in our room, overlooking the pool area. The underground car park is cool and secure.
Food is lovely - you cannot leave the table without feeling satisfied. The quality of the serving staff falls into two categories. We had the best, professional staff for the evening meal which was a triumph. However, lunchtime and afternoon service, on both Saturday afternoon and on Sunday lunchtime, in the bar area was suboptimal.
Now, being charitable I must state that the country is recovering from the pandemic so I am adopting a tolerant view. There may have been fewer staff on duty than was optimal. The bar staff were pleasant and they were working hard, but there was a lack of co-ordination. We witnessed three couples, late in Saturday afternoon June 4th, who simply wanted to pay their bill and get on with their journey. This is a simple case of walking around the area regularly and checking each table occasionally, to continue the expected high level of service. A little adjustment (and maybe one or two additional daytime staff members in the bar area) would raise satisfaction levels to match the five-star experience of the rest of this resort.
Would I return? No, because the overall manufactured "golf and villa" resort trope just doesn't work for me. But if Mar Menor is what you want, then this place WILL meet your needs. The birthday party - the actual reason for our visit - was highly enjoyable and worth the hours spent flying...
Read moreFantastic time had at The Residences at Mar Menor. Myself and four colleagues stayed here first week in July on a three night bed and breakfast golf break. Stopped in one of the 3 bed apartments and couldn't fault it. Spacious, spotlessley clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning excellent. Was a little worried how far they were from reception, had read earlier that they were quite a distance, however, taxi driver waited for us to check in then took us to our residence. The walk back though is just a 5 mins stroll through the driving range. Shop is 20-25 mins walk. If staying any longer than 3 nights I would probably hire a car. Taxis are reasonable, e.g. €13 to Los Alcazares. With each block having it's own pool, they were never busy, quiet and relaxing. Bars and restaurants are welcoming and inviting with friendly staff. Course was in great condition and the greens imaculate and not very busy.The staff in the pro shop were very helpful. Booked our clubs direct with them by email before we travelled and were very satisfied with the Nike's they gave us. €30 per round.Buggies we booked while there, for the house course and also for El Valle. All in all a fantastic time had by 5 blokes who just wanted to play a couple of rounds of golf in the beautiful sunshine , relax and have a few beers at a great price. Faultless. Will be...
