We are extremely disappointed with our recent experiences at Tasty Bites. We visited the restaurant twice in the past week, and both times our orders were mishandled in ways that completely ruined our meals.
During our first visit, we dined in and I specifically requested my curry without onions. Unfortunately, it was served with onions. By the time the kitchen corrected the mistake, my family had already finished their meals. The naan bread that had been served with my original dish had gone cold, and when we requested a fresh naan, it arrived just as my recooked curry was starting to get cold again. The whole experience was frustrating and left me unable to enjoy my meal.
Despite this, we decided to give Tasty Bites another chance. On our way home from a water park today, we placed a takeaway order for the same curry—once again clearly specifying no onions and requesting it to be spicy. After waiting 10–15 minutes (which we didn’t mind), we took the food home only to find onions again in the curry. What if I had a severe allergy to onions?
After a long and tiring day, my husband had to return the dish to have it corrected. Not only did he waste his time going back to the restaurant, but the replacement curry was still not spicy as requested. Additionally, the same rice that was packed with the original (incorrect) order was reused—and was now cold.
We are thoroughly disappointed by the repeated carelessness and lack of attention to detail. This kind of service is unacceptable, and we will not be returning. I will certainly be advising friends and family to avoid this restaurant as it only causes...
Read moreIf we had done this review a few days ago, we would have gone four stars all the way..a perfectly fine Indian restaurant. However, we have since gotten a take away from there and the quality was much lower than the day we ate in. We ordered a Rogan Josh and Jalfrezi and there was no obvious difference between the flavour of either. Both tasted like they were made with tomate frito with some Indian spices. My Rogan Josh had no vegetables in it. Just a small amount of chicken swimming in sauce. And Babs' jalfrezi had loads of peppers in it but not much chicken. It was really disappointing. That said our eat -in experience was fine and interestingly, they had some dishes available for those who don't like Indian food. For example, glancing over at the table next to us, the steak...
Read moreDisappointing meal. The taste was ok but there was an insane amount of food colouring used in each dish, just not necessary. The luminous orange rice in the picture is coconut rice believe it or not. I ordered my usual go to elsewhere, a chicken tikka pasanda, but in this meal it was practically tomato pasta sauce. The taste was quite bland and inauthentic. Even the keema naan was dry and pretty bland and for some reason the filling was...
