Hotel Las Cigüeñas — Hotel in Trujillo

Stayed here for ne night on the way into Extremedura on a bird watching holiday - I wish we had stayed longer. Trujillo has a lovely historic centre where you can have a great meal in a number of restaurants on the square while watching White Storks and Lesser Kestrels in the air .||||the Hotel itself is really convenient - off the motorway on the edge of the town but far enough form the road to be quiet.||||rooms were very clean and comfortable, plenty of toiletries in the room. The staff were very friendly and welcoming , the reception andbar area are very smart - although it was very quiet when we stayed.||||Continetnal breakfast was good but as expected, coffee, uiuce and toast.||||Plenty of parking available.||||Overall a good hotel and we would stay there again but there were parts that looked a little...

Stayed here for one night during an exploratory trip to Extremadura and found both the hotel and the town of Trujillo quite delightful. It is on the outskirts of town and therefore out of the historic part but it was not a difficult walk into the centre unless you have mobiity problems. We sat out on the terrace for lunch/snack upon arrival - good food and great service. Good private parking and a lovely breakfast to send us on our way in the morning. Would have no hesitation in...

Nos hemos alojado una noche en este hotel, porque mi marido lo recordaba con cariño de cuando viajaba por aquí con sus padres (hace 45 años).|El hotel se mantiene exactamente igual que entonces. Exactamente.|La recepción, la cafeteria, los salones… todo se mantiene igual que entonces, solo entrar parece que te teletransportas a aquella época.|Las habitaciones lo mismo, parecen limpias pero están como hace tantos años. Es como si hubiéramos abierto la puerta al siglo pasado. La moqueta que cubre tooooodo el suelo, claramente esconde agujeros en el suelo (vas pisando como si estuvieras en el campo, con socavones)|Las televisiones son lo único que parece de este siglo, planas. |Las habitaciones disponen tan solo de un enchufe (a los pies de la cama, y otro en el baño). Claramente adecuado a las necesidades tecnológicas de los años 70 del siglo pasado.||La comida del restaurante muy rica, pero cara, resulta más caro aquí que en el centro de Trujillo.||Lo mejor: la atención del personal|Lo peor: la ausencia de personal. Tuvimos que esperar más de 15 minutos al llegar, en una recepción vacía, para que alguien viniera a hacernos el checkin. Al salir aún más tiempo para hacer el pago.||Sugerencia para los dueños: hace falta invertir en el negocio si no queremos que un lugar tan bonito vaya cayendo en el olvido y desaparezca.
