A friend and I walked the Camino in April 2022 and stayed one night at the Hotel Rural Las Aquedas. We had walked some of the Camino in 2019 staying in dormitary style rooms but for this trip, we decided to stay in private room to ensure better sleep. While all of our rooms we lodged in this trip were pleasant and comfortable, our stay at the Hotel Rural Las Aquedas was simply wonderful and BY FAR , was the most comfortable and memorable. The property was wonderfully decorated, very clean, comfortable beyond measure with the large upstairs sitting room and the covered courtyard downstairs with plenty of chairs, plants and quietness to truly relaxed. We enjoyed a memorable and very reasonable priced dining experience that evening with a three course meal with wine service. The salad that was served has since motivated me to improve my salad making and the paella that followed was delicious and filling. I would have preferred to stay another night to further relax but the Camino was calling. My complements to the owner and host who has created an oasis in north Spain that few, if any other hotels can compare. All the best wishes and success in the future; you and the Hotel Rural Las Aquedas...
Read moreWe stayed here while doing the Camino. This is a wonderful small hotel and a bit of a splurge for a pilgrim, but worth it. We were warmly welcomed at reception by Rocia, a very gracious woman who has walked the Camino herself.. The room was large and had beautiful furniture including a very comfortable bed, The bathroom was small, but modern and had a good shower, Both breakfast and dinner are available but we didn't eat there opting for a small cafe, so we can't comment on the food, but would be willing to bet it would be quite good. This would be a good place for a pilgrim on The Way or someone touring La Rioja by car or bicycle.||Would happily stay there again....
Read moreThe Hotel is charming--clean, beautiful, restfully decorated, overlooking a lovely tree dotted square. We had the misfortune of facing a family emergency almost immediately upon arrival and one of us had to rush back to Logrono to catch a train to Bilbao to board a flight back to the States. Rocio--and her son--went out of their way--involving their own personal inconvenience--to help him make that train. They were kind, accommodating and sensitive. As if they were personal friends putting us up for the night. We are so grateful and so happy to recommend the Hotel to whomever wants gracious hospitality and a really good night's sleep! (One of us stayed...
