Chill Camping Spot by the Sea — Just Watch Out for the Road!

We stayed at Camping Tres Estrellas Mediterráneo near Valencia, and honestly, it’s a really nice place to relax right by the sea. The campsite is literally on the shoreline — you wake up and the waves are right there. Some of the bungalows are brand new and super cozy, with everything you need inside: kitchen, bathroom, AC — perfect for a comfortable stay.

A few things you should know before going:

🚗 Getting There: If you’re coming from Madrid or Valencia, don’t trust Google Maps blindly! It might send you down a really rough and broken road. The better way is to first set your GPS to Xilxes, and then from there, head to the campsite. Much easier and safer!

🏖️ Beach Vibes: Heads up — it’s not a sandy beach, it’s pebble, so water shoes are a good idea. The sea is super clear, but there are no buoys or marked swimming areas, so not ideal for little kids or anyone who’s not a strong swimmer.

🛒 Shops & Stuff: There’s no big store on-site, but Xilxes is really close — you can walk there in 10–15 minutes to grab groceries or go for a bite to eat.

We stayed here for a week over May half term. We knew it was going to be a more basic eurocamp having stayed at larger sites before. There are 6 in our family, the van was fine, mostly modern and a nice wooden bench and table on the decking. |Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. There’s a small shop onsite which sells only a few things, we had a car so we just went to a supermarket for most of our groceries. There’s an onsite bar which sells very reasonably priced food and drinks. |No entertainment which we didn’t care necessarily want anyway, the bigger kids are beyond this now. |There is a basket ball court, small park and the pools.| Swimming pool was clean and great for the baby and also the bigger kids! Baby pool was warm, larger one cooler. ||There is a gate that opens right up onto the beach which was lovely, stones though but nice. |A short walk takes you to town where there are sandy parts of the beach if you wish. |I would recommend a car is needed as the campsite is remote. Hemos estado 4 días en pareja y mis dos perras en el bungalow esmeralda, ha estado muy bien, limpio y completo. Es necesario llevarse regletas de cargadores porque enchufes hay pocos. Cambiaria el horario de salida que aunque te dejan estar todo el dia alli, es a las 11 y es muy pronto. Tambien añadiría una tela mosquitera en la zona de la puerta pues hay en ventanas y si estas fuera tienes q cerrar la puerta para q no te coman los bichos. Nuestro bungalow estaba al lado de la piscina, el ruido de la gente es lo de menos pues se respetan horarios, lo PEOR y creo que deberian revisar es el ruido constante de golpes que hace la depuradora de la piscina, va a ratos y de verdad taladra la cabeza, se lo comenté a un señor de mantenimiento y m dijo que iba por momentos y que debían de solucionarlo, sobretodo se escuchaba en la tarde. El parking está muy bien lo dejamos al fondo y no molesta ni resulta molesto, pues delante de la parcela hay zona de autocaravanas y es mejor no dejarlo ahi para que puedan maniobrar sin problemas. Estuvimos muy bien con la gente, muy respetuosa y amable. El bar, un poco caro y no dejan perros en el interior, cosa inexplicable. Por los animales abonas 10 euros por mascota y noche, los abonamos gustosamente, pero es caro y más cuando no hay un simple cuenco de agua para ellos. El supermercado, hay lo mínimo, quizas deberían replantear precios y demás porque merece la pena coger el coche e ir a cualquier otro supermercado. La playa es de piedras pero extensa, hay sitio para no molestarse, además si vas hacia la izquierda hay zona de playa de arena, eso sí, el pueblo desangelado. Lo que le da vidilla es el camping. IMPORTANTE A DESTACAR: Google maps te mete por un camino de mala muerte, de echo pensabamos que el camping no existía. Lo mejor es poner el pueblo y una vez allí poner la ubicación del camping. De todas maneras si aparecéis para ir al camino no os metáis y seguir a la izquierda, es un camino asfaltado pero mejor que el otro. Creo que al camping no le costaría nada poner una señal/cartel, porque en ese camino se pueden fastidiar los coches y por lo tanto las vacaciones. Nosotras repetiremos experiencia, aunque si me gustaría que sobretodo tuviesen en cuenta lo del camino y los costes de las mascotas. Y si queréis cobrar por ello, cobrarlo, pero con sentido común, como hacen muchos hoteles, que te ponen su cuenco y una cama y sino no estaría mal no cobrar nada si tampoco ponéis nada.
