Peace Inn Galle — Hotel in Galle

Stayed at the Peace Inn for a month and would highly recommend it. It’s just off the main road and very close to Karapitiya hospital but still quiet at night. The family who own and run the place are so kind and welcoming. They provided us with great advice on the local area and even brought us the occasional cold drink or snack.

The rooms are clean, spacious, with large comfortable beds, and the ones we stayed in had very good A/C. There’s a large balcony for relaxing on in the shade and a decent kitchen if you need to cook. Stayed here for a single night and I stayed up and never slept the entire night because the room door had a gap even after being locked(a gap enough to see what's happening inside). I was paranoid if someone was looking through it. There were tiny ventilation windows above the room main window and it was not able to be locked as well. My husband had to drive us back home in the morning so I made him rest and stayed awake reading a book and watching a movie until he woke since I didn't feel safe and the room was super hot. Stayed here for 3 Days. Extremely poor communication and customer service. They had lost 2 towels somehow and tried to pin it on us. The ownet had illegally checked our (8 people's) bags while we were away for work. Place might be nice, not recommended for someone who values their privacy or dignity, in that matter.
