Stayed at the Peace Inn for a month and would highly recommend it. It’s just off the main road and very close to Karapitiya hospital but still quiet at night. The family who own and run the place are so kind and welcoming. They provided us with great advice on the local area and even brought us the occasional cold drink or snack.
The rooms are clean, spacious, with large comfortable beds, and the ones we stayed in had very good A/C. There’s a large balcony for relaxing on in the shade and a decent kitchen if you need to cook. I was paranoid if someone was looking through it. There were tiny ventilation windows above the room main window and it was not able to be locked as well. My husband had to drive us back home in the morning so I made him rest and stayed awake reading a book and watching a movie until he woke since I didn't feel safe and the room was super hot.
