Heaven View Residencies — Hotel in Sri Lanka

10-06-2024 We visited Heaven View Residencies in Nuwara Eliya on weekdays and stayed for 3 nights. This nice apartment is in the Moonsplain residence buildings, which are easy to find and not far from Gregory Park. The apartment can accommodate up to 8 people, but it’s also suitable for couples, and they offered a fair cost.

When we called, Mr. Dileeka was very friendly and helpful. We made an advance payment to book the apartment and paid the rest when we checked out on the last day. When we arrived, 4-5 staff members helped carry our bags, and they were all friendly and polite. The check-in process was quick and easy.

The most underrated part of this apartment is the kitchen. We cooked breakfast and dinner there, and it had all the basic equipment needed. All four stove burners worked well, and there was a rice cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, whistling kettle, saucepans, cutting boards, knives, spatulas, glasses, mugs, dishes, cutlery, dishwashing liquid, hand wash, and even a coconut scraper. Remarkably, we didn't see any insects, not even ants, during our three-day stay! I loved that small kitchen. The only issue was that the water from the kitchen sink was very cold, which could be challenging if you plan to cook regularly. However, we found it kind of fun.

There were three rooms and four double beds. All the rooms were tidy, clean, well-organized, and very comfortable. They had mirrors, clothes racks, and large wooden drawers. The apartment had one bathroom with both hot and cold water, and there was a hairdryer available. The living room was really comfortable, and you could watch TV there as well.

The apartment was truly amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much that we canceled our plans to go out just to spend more time there comfortably. Everything was perfect, but nothing could beat the incredible view! I think that's why it's called Heaven View. You can hear the sound of the wind and see the mist moving. The view of Gregory Lake, sometimes covered in a white misty fog, was amazing! You can go to the balcony if you want to catch the breeze, It is truly outstanding!

But there are still a few improvements that can be made. I want to take my parents next time, but the distance from the car park to the room is too much for elderly people—not so much the distance, but the stairs. An elevator would make it much easier. Another thing is a permanent heater specifically for the Heaven View apartment. Having a heater when you sleep at night is a must in Nuwara Eliya, especially for someone coming from a warm area. We requested a heater at night for an extra cost. When you go there, make sure to book the heaters—you will definitely want them, especially if you have kids or elderly people in your group.
