Lucky Holiday Home — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I placed a booking via Booking.com today. Some person from the hotel called me and insulted saying, Sri Lankans are not like foreigners, they place bookings in about 4-5 places and later cancel the bookings saying that they don't arrive. He wanted the payment today if I'm going there on Saturday to keep the booking confirmed, or else he asked me to cancel the booking.

It's very ugly how he speak about Sri Lankans being a Sri Lankan. On booking.com the option is clear to cancel until the previous day of booking, if its not needed. That's why we use booking.com. Otherwise, we can use some other website or call the hotel to place the booking. The way the person talks is not nice. The impression he gave even before we go there was not good.

I don't recommend this place even...

Had to face the most unpleasant and bitter experience because of this hotel owner... we came from long distance for temple... we ride over 4 hours so when we came to the hotel they told us we can not provide the room because of another booking... we call several times to theme when we are coming but they not ask anything while we came to the place... rude owner women in there she like an evil witch... do not try to...

The hosts were very nice and showed us around town for a very good price. They helped us organize any tours we wanted to do and explained a lot about the city and it's people.
