We stayed here for one night on a train trip from Stockholm to Gothenburg. Our train arrived about 1pm and it was easy to find the hotel (which is very near the station), but we were unaware that reception did not open until check in time at 3pm. The locker space at the train station was full and our suitcases were too big for the lockers in any event so we walked a couple of blocks into town (not far) with our luggage and had lunch. Örebro is a lovely town and it was easy to spend an afternoon here walking around the castle and down to Wadkoeping where they have preserved some of the town’s historic houses and which is in effect an open air museum of traditional Swedish life in the past.||We returned to the hotel and checked in at 3pm which all went smoothly. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room was cosy and tastefully decorated. We did not hear any train noise. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious with many choices and seemingly fresh ingredients.||I would recommend this hotel on the proviso that you either arrive during check in hours or have a plan for your luggage whilst waiting for...
Read moreVery good location of the hotel just next to the main railway station||+ Nicely furnished and decorated room with a comfortable bed - a good quality sleep (surprisingly, you are not disturbed by trains and cars at all, you don't hear almost anything in the room)||+ Everything very clean and fresh||+ A hair-dryer, an iron and iron board, a boiling kettle and tea/coffee available in the room - what I especially liked was that they had in offer "Night Time" tea (in many other hotels they offer only black tea which is not good in the evening)||+ Very nice and helpful staff||+ A personal welcoming note in your room with candies - you feel really welcome||+ A very good breakfast (I would say a standard Swedish offer which means eggs, sausages, ham, cheese, paté, müsli, yoghurts, fruits, vegetable, tea/coffee, juice, etc.)||||- The only downside was a chilly room when I came - the heater was not working, I asked the receptionist for help but she did not know how to set up heater either - at the end, I asked for additional blanket and the night was totally fine (I slept as a baby:-) )||||I would definitely stay in this...
Read moreA short note to summarise our opinions (first time); +Good service and nice talkative staff. +Big room, family friendly, 3/4 beds (unsure if you can sleep in the sofa bed). One single bed and one double bed, a sofa and room for storing stuff. +The double bed is big and soft. +Very many power outlets, one in the toilet. +3 different towels (small and big). +Good looking. +Close to Örebro Centrum. +Good sound-proofing. +A big tv, wall mounted, that you can change directions. +Good city view on third floor (or second if you say entry floor isn’t 1 floor.)
-Slow cooking (though there was one cooking at our visit). -Few broken minor details and things that don’t change...
