Osteria da Alfonso — Restaurant in Örebro kommun

Awesome 🤩 stellar in taste, quality, & hygiene ! as someone who had been living in Italy for a few years from time to time I craved good Italian food like crazy, and it's been very difficult to find honestly. But, in Orebro surprisingly we've found Osteria da Alfonso that provides not only authentic Italian food but also authentic Napoletano food 🥳 (and yes we have also someone from Naples in our group who verify it 😉).

All the seafood 🐟🦐 are fresh, they arrived just the night before they are served, so we are able to taste a good quality of prawn 🦐, fish 🐟 , 🐙 octopus, & squid 🦑. They are cooked perfectly well at the right time & temperature, so they do not taste rubbery at all.

The service was amazing, you'll feel friendliness of the South from the owner & his team.

What we ordered (as we are a group of 6 so we order & try many things):

Appetizer: Cuopp' - fried squid with lemon inside a paper cup. This is a typical street food in Naples. The flour is not hard and overpowering but seasoned lightly. We did not managed to take a picture as everyone were eating it so quick 😅 and we ordered another additional portion.

Appetizer : Arancini - it's from Sicily, but they made small bite sizes. Taste super good.

Appetizer : Crocche' - combination of potatoes 🥔 & cheese 🧀 in bite sizes

Primo : spaghetti con frutti di mare. This is sooooo special 😍 the chef made the sauce from the shells for 8 hours. The flavour was super rich and appetizing.

Primo : paccheri al ragu... Buonissimo 🤩

Secondo : grigliata di pesce 😍😍😍 this is the winner for me! My God the taste left me speechless.

Pizza : pizza 🍕 margherita 😋 love it. The dough is good

Pizza : pizza 🍕 carrattiera live it so good with salsiccia.

Drinks: coke, white wine, red wine.

Note: it's such a good restaurant that really keeps up a good work & commitment to provide good food. This is not the type of restaurant where customers can add / take out ingredients from the menu as they wished and I'd say rightly done so. So take a look at the menu, and see for yourself if you are okay with what they offer before visiting.

I love this place!

Me and my partner went to Örebro this summer, and I had a look at some of the local restaurants in the area. This one immediately stood out to me as not just ‘’another’’ Italian restaurant. I checked out the reviews, looked at some of the photos and the menu, and I told him that we HAD to go visit this restaurant before our vacation was done. And I am so happy that we did.

The atmosphere is light and enthusiastic. Very inviting! We were greeted by a very polite and kind server. Drinks were great. When we had ordered the food, the chef carried it out to our table, and it looked amazing and tasted even better. The chef himself was full of enthusiasm and passion for his cooking, and it showed in both the presentation and taste! I love places that are driven by genuine passion for what they’re creating. It adds that little extra.

If we’re ever heading back to Örebro, we will come back. I’m not done tasting the rest...
