Abisko Hostel — Hotel in Kiruna kommun

We stayed for five nights at the Abisko Hostel and were very happy with what we paid for. The hostel has a real home feel and is situated in a really quiet street in Abisko, surrounded by some spectacular nature scenes. The hostel was clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was spacious and practical with everything you need. Two bathrooms (each with a toilet and shower) for 4 rooms worked out perfectly while we were there. Some really friendly staff who came to clean the house every morning who were always available to provide information. The grocery shop is less than 10 minutes walk from the house, and pick up points for activities is also very easy and close to the house. I am glad we chose for Abisko Hostel because I saw it was much more quiet and peaceful where we were than at some of the other guesthouses/hostels in the area. My son played for hours in the snow outside the house. Really good wifi is available in the house too. We saw the Aurora 3 out of the 5 nights, the lake (which is in my opinion the best place to go and view the Aurora from the hostel) is easy to walk to. One of the nights the Aurora was so spectacular we could see some of it from the hostel too. If I visit Abisko again I would stay at this hostel again, I definitely...

Clean and amazing accommodation.

Walls are a little thin that you can hear sounds from next door but most of the people were quiet.

A super well equipped kitchen. The location is slightly further away from the other accommodations, but the silence and with less people it made up for it.

It has a few parking spaces right outside the building so it was all good.

Check in was self service and pleasant.
