We travel a LOT, and our favorite hotel anywhere in the world is Hotel Soglina. We've come to think of the owners as family. and the hotel as our home away from home. Their heartfelt welcome is sincere and they go the extra mile, extending thoughtful kindness. We even have our favorite room — with the most beautiful views-- especially from the balcony. We appreciate the attention to detail with everything being freshened daily and impeccably clean. Despite a palatial location overlooking Soglio - surely the most beautiful village in the world - the dedicated staff bring tremendous professionalism with their creative culinary energies being poured into the most memorable meals, served in the beautiful dining room or under the night sky on the spectacular terrace. There are regular favorites - like an awesome salad dressing which by itself is enough to make you hurry back in time for dinner, and wonderful surprise appearances on the menu. We LOVE the food that comes from the La Soglina kitchen and also the delightful servers, whom we’ve come to know and sincerely appreciate over the years. They are like family — really looking out for each other and for us. We even like to dream about the possibility of moving into La Soglina in our twilight years! Meanwhile, we always look forward to our next homecoming...
Read moreA Family run Hotel, helpful, friendly with nothing that could be said other than excellent service. My room in September, 2017 was warm, comfortable and spacious, with views of the Bondasca Glacier. The scenery from the hotel was amazing overlooking the Village of Soglio high in the Swiss Alps. The loction is a short distance from the Italian Boarder, climbing up the winding road by bus from Bondo with the Glazier across the Valley.||||I loved the Hotel along with roaming around the Swiss village and the fields surrounding the village. Finding a bench seat out on a field with a box of Books to read whilst taking in the most amazing view of the village and glazier. ||||Also being able to connect with too buses and experience a day trip to St. Moritz was also an...
Read moreWalking into Soglio and to the Soglina was quite a thrill! Such a blast from the past! Charming in every way! Our room was large, albeit dated, with a balcony and large bathroom. Gorgeous views from all our windows! But the charm to this place are the wife and husband who appear to do it all. Our dinner was wonderful! The Mrs. served us and explained each course. It was all so Italian and delicious! And the next morning, the Mr. served us and prepared eggs to order along with all the rest of the typical European breakfasts. He then helped us find the bus station so we could be on our way. Too short a stay in this charming...
