I never stayed at the hotel, but already had bad experience communicating with the hotel after booking via booking.com. I booked a four single beds room for three adults and one child (the number is shown correctly on the website). I was later reached out by the hotel manager to ask for an extra charge because my five year old child might sleep in one of the four single beds, or with me and my husband on the double bed (which she usually does when we are out traveling). The manager stated that because “additional” bedding is required. I was confused because I did book a four single beds room.
If today I stated only two people will stay in the four single beds room, will they only make two beds, and leave the other two only with mattresses? Or they will prepare all four beds. But only wash two sets of beddings when only two people slept in the room? (doesn’t sound too sanitary) I do not personally know how a hotel is managed, but regardless of my child’s age, the extra charge simply does not make sense to me. If I already booked the correct adult and child number, then that should be the final price.
If it wasn’t for the bad attitude from the manager, I will not be writing this review. I replied via booking.com that I have never encountered such bad attitude from a hotel staff, and the manager replied that she is the hotel manager, not staff. Meaning she can have such bad attitudes because she is the manager???
Reply to manager: As stated before, I booked a "four" single beds room, and selected the correct numbers of adults (3) and children (1) who will sleep in the "four" single beds room. Regardless of my child's age, why will my child of age 0 or 5 be an issue when there are actually "four" single beds? I understand if it is a "three" single beds room, then bringing in an additional adult or child will require additional charge, or a "double" bed room, and bringing in a child will require extra charge when the child exceeds a certain age. These extra charges then are definitely reasonable.
I have changed from one star to three stars as the manager is willing to work this out with booking.com, so that no further confusion will come up for...

We stayed at Sleep & Stay twice during our 10-day trip to Switzerland — two nights at the beginning and again for the last two nights because we were so satisfied with our first stay.
The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. A special thanks to Jacqueline — she was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.
Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The self check-in process was very easy and convenient. Plus, the location is great — very close to the airport.
The area itself is also lovely, with the calm waters of the Thein River making it a peaceful and charming place to stay.
We would definitely choose Sleep & Stay again. Thank you for a...
Read moreSelf-check-in Hotel. There is a machine at the front to check-in with your booking number. Super easy and quick. The rooms are very new, vary clean and comfortable. the bed was super comfy. I had a bigger room with sink, bench & table corner and a balcony. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast was small and simple, but really good, with fresh bread, cereals, yoghurt and fruits. coffee is for free the whole day&night long. Mind that this is no classic hotel with lobby - some rooms are seperated and have their own entrance from outside. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the strain station, where trains'll take you to Zurich, Schaffhausen, Koblenz, etc... Would...
