We chose to stay here instead of booking a ridiculously small city-center room. We’re glad we did.||NH’s loyalty program remains one of the best designed, far more straightforward than Accor or Melia’s, though one only wishes they had more properties. The family room we booked was genuinely spacious and well worth the slight supplement. Complimentary water and tea/coffee facilities were provided, with user-friendly kettles and machines in the room. The air conditioning was string, to the point that we turned it off in the early morning.||Bathrooms were modern and spotless. The Wi-Fi worked reliably, the lobby was more spacious than expected, and service at Reception was professional, welcoming, and efficient. A cursory look at the hotel from the entrance belies its size, because it’s a round structure (which also means you should ask for a room near the elevators if you’re travelling with older people).||As with all NH hotels we have stayed at, the beds (and especially the pillows) were just right.||Breakfast had everything one could ask for (except perhaps a live counter): the breads were fresh (the mini-croissants a sensible choice & the variety of fruits very welcome). A few branded yoghurt varieties would have helped, as the big pot they kept had yoghurt that was far too sweet for regular tastes.||The only drawback was the parking fee. CHF 30 per night felt steep, even for an airport property.||The location is very convenient: the hotel sits directly on the long tram route (lines 14 and 18) that links the city centre (Bel-Air, about 25 minutes away) and CERN (just four stops, six minutes). Trams can be crowded, so seats are not always easy to find. These lines generally get pretty crowded, expect to be pushed to a corner unless you can get a place to sit). Everyone staying at the hotel gets a free tram/bus/boat pass for Geneva, so yay.||Overall, a comfortable stay with practical advantages, and a property we would...
Read moreI was given a friendly welcome and was able to leave my cases as i arrived early. I got booked onto the shuttle bus without having to enquire. ||The hotel is quite modern looking and there were vending machines for water, juice, wine! Although, of course, very expensive so window shopping only.||I had a drink at the bar, the server was friendly and efficient. The seats were comfy and clean. ||The room was basic and had everything needed for a night. The bed and pillows were comfy. ||The room was excessively warm (23°C) and while I had the window open until sleep time it was too noisey to keep it open due to it being an airport hotel and being in close proximity to the airport. I don't know if the air con wasn't working or if I was doing something wrong but it wasn't possible to reduce the temperature. ||The bathroom was significantly cooler. No heated towel rail. The extractor fan was broken and you could see black dust. The bath wasn't draining quickly and so showering wasn't the most pleasant. ||Breakfast wasn't the best, very pale, unappetising sausages. Good selection of teas and juices. ||I was able to check out using a link that had been emailed to me meaning I didn't need to go via reception. The mini bus to the airport was very good, a pleasant man helped put the suitcases in and got me safely to the airport. ||I would stay again providing future reviews...
Read moreThe hotel was exceptional. From a smooth check in to bar service, dinner and everything in between. I stayed for 5 nights to attend a conference at Palexpo. The shuttle picked me up at the airport and I arrived at the hotel within 10 mins. The lady working at the concierge was so welcoming. She provided me with a map to all the must see Geneva destinations and explained how the transit system worked. I used the public transit pass included in my stay daily. The 14 or 18 tram to downtown is steps from the hotel.||I enjoyed the bar service. The bartender was fanastic. She always had a great suggestion for a late night snack or glass of wine. I loved that the hotel offered an enviromentally friendly initative in exchange for going a day without house keeping you would get a ticket for a glass of wine/beer/soft drink. I had the breakfast daily. The fresh breads were so yummy. They also provide an a la carte menu of a few hot items. The fruits were very fresh. I had dinner in the resteraraunt once and the food was very good. The steak was my favourite dish. ||The shuttle was quick and a great way to get over to palexpo. ||The room was great. Very clean. Beds comfy. I didn't watch tv as it was all in French but I wasn't here for that anyway. The wifi was great.||||Overall I was very impressed for the comfort...
