I purchased a Beko washing machine via the MediaMarkt website which was fulfilled by the Meyrin store. The original machine was faulty. We were eventually provided a replacement which turned out to be faulty as well and caused a leak in our apartment. Now exhausted with the situation nine months later and having lost trust in the model of machine, we asked for a refund from MediaMarkt. Having waited over a month for a reply I have since been told that it is my problem to resolve with the manufacturer. Communication with MediaMarkt has been painfully slow and ultimately unhelpful. Although the issue stems from the washing machine manufacturer Beko, having purchased the machine via MediaMarkt I was expecting to be afforded some level of consumer protection. I will not be purchasing from MediaMarkt again anytime soon.
