What a great find La Tzoumaz is. It has quiet slopes which are well maintained and range from gentle blue runs to more challenging reds. The off piste skiing was heaven with wide sweeping areas of powder. The local ski instructors were very good and ski school was excellent for the children. I spent a day at hectic verbier and hated the long queues for the lifts etc and was glad to return to our resort.||Chalet Auriane was fabulous being ski in and ski out and it was heaven to have a soak in the hot tub on the balcony or a sauna, which made a great end to a perfect day. The master bedroom was on of the most spectacular rooms I've stayed in, with its giant treehouse like bed and views of the mountains and valley while laying in thebath.||The children had plenty to do with the numerous games and an outdoor garden area for them to make snowmen and pelt each other with snowballs and tobaggon down. The children had the option to have their meals separately and just loved the apple TV with over 1000 films to choose from.||Us adults were more than satified with the great variety of meals supplied and the quality of the food was better than most restaurants/hotels I've eaten at.||The rooms we kept very well cleaned and linen was changed regularly. It was the little extras like bathrodes and slippers etc which made this chalet stand out from any other that I've stayed at.||I will definately consider staying here...

Read moreWe arrived after a long drive from England to open the door to a truly beautiful chalet. The views were breathtaking and the feeling of luxury overwhelming. ||||We were two families with large teenagers and we fitted in fine, but did feel that maybe the bedroom with the two single beds should have been the second bedroom and one of the others should have had the two singles, but that is a minor complaint as everything else was fabulous. The sofa upstairs was so comfortable and there were plenty of utensils ect in the kitchen with a very large oven. It definitely felt that it was a loved and cherished chalet, with no expense spared.||||La Tzoumaz itself is quite small and a few more restaurants and bars would be nice but to be honest we did not need to go out as it was just lovely to stay in. The skiing was superb and it was easy to get to Verbier. You would definitely need a car as you have to be quite an experienced skier to ski straight back to the chalet, (which everyone else did except for me).||||I would highly recommend this chalet if you are looking for a luxurious and challenging...
