Hotel Monte Moro — Hotel in Saas-Almagell

My family and I stayed here for 1 week over the Christmas 2014, we were made to feel very welcome (even with excitable noisy children) and the Hotel Manageress Annette was highly accommodating with our Vegetarian and fussy eating children requirements throughout the stay.||||We took the half board option and was served a soup started (made with vegetables from the hotel garden), salad, main course and dessert. There is an excellent selection of wine and beer available to accompany your meal.||||Our Family room with balcony was large, very clean, well furnished and serviced every day.||||There is a family room in the basement next to the warm ski-room with table football which was an instant hit for the children.||||The hotel is 50 meters away from the Furggstalden lift, Ski Bus stop, Ski School and the excellent Eldorado Ski Hire (recommended) plus other restaurants and bars in the village are located within 5 mins walk.||||Overall I highly recommend this hotel and village for families visiting the lovely quite village of Saas Almagell.||||And many thanks to Annette for making our stay a pleasant and...

We went to this hotel for a family holiday with 2 kids (7&11). The manageress could not be more helpful and friendly. There was free parking and the hotel is literally at the bottom of the Sass Almagell ski lift. There is a bus service to Sass Fee around the corner with a bus every 30 minutes so this is a good base in a smaller less busy village. We took half board and the food is not haute cuisine but more what my mother would call good wholesome food with a soup to start which I think is great after a days skiing.||The hotel is very quiet as it is well off the main street and they have a large ski room conveniently located on the ground floor just next to the car park. The hotel bedroom (a family room) has 2 separate bedrooms with 1 double and 2 small singles perfect for young kids. The room is modern and very clean; there is also a nice balcony.||The kids were very happy and I have a feeling we may have to go back next year!!||||For those who want a sauna you can use the facilities at the posh hotel next door for 35Sfr a day for adults (half for kids). We went only for Dinner, and I have to rate this as very good to have a local high quality dinner. We went to Saas already multiple times for vacation, and the last day we always have dinner in the Monte-Moro. The Raclette + the Fondue are excellent, and the service of the owners is perfect.||The whole hotel is served and lead by the owners and their family, so you have a very nice environment and somebody who really takes care of you.||Food quality for a fresh and very high.
