Most traumatizing experience of my life.
We went skiing to Stoos by taking the funicular in the morning, and it was a snowy day. We tried to get down to the car park at 15:30 and the funicular stopped operating because of the weather. We waited for 1h in the line, with -10° and the snow and the wind until they told us the funicular was not going to operate anymore for the day. They diverged hundreds of people to the gondola but no ne told us that the gondola was tiny, and we were so many that we waited until 20:00 to get on it, in the cold and the snow storm. On top of this they did not plan any shuttle or bus to go to where the car was, which was a 20 minutes drive but we had to hope that public transport worked, by taking 3 busses and extending the torture for 1.5 hours.
We go seriously scared, making us wait almost 5 hours in the snow storm outside was a health hazard. They could have done many things to make us suffer less but they did none: from making us queue in groups, extend the little part of the line that was inside forming an “s”, organizing a shuttle bus etc.
I will never go back...
Read moreThis hike starts with a ride which transports guests up to the car-free village of Stoos at 1,300m (4,265ft) above sea level.
After a brief walk through the small mountain village, the chairlift takes hikers to the summit of the Klingenstock. This marks the beginning of the hike along the ridge, which offers a nice view to more than 10 Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks in Central Switzerland.
Apart from the nice panoramic view, there is also a wide variety of Alpine flowers to discover.
The hike can also be taken in the opposite direction, for there is a chairlift at both ends of the trail to take visitors up or down the mountainside.

Read moreWe were supposed to leave at 15:30 but after an hour of waiting they told us the gondola was broken and we had to walk for another 20 minutes to another gondola. Hundreds of people waited in line for this smaller gondola, which only held about 15 people every 15 minutes. Everyone was freezing since the building for the gondola was so small that people were waiting outside for hours. Children were crying and it was such a health and safety hazard, but nothing was done on the resort’s part to make things better. We finally got on the gondola after 3.5 hours, and had to take 3 buses just to get the car park where the original gondola was. Horrible experience that could have been made much better with any sort of...
