The Worst Experience of My Life at Vision Apartments St. Gallen â A Display of a bunch of amateurs.
I wis I could give this -5 stars.
As a Swiss resident of nearly eight years, Iâve stayed in many places across the country, but Vision Apartments in St. Gallen has delivered, hands down, the most horrific, dehumanizing, and utterly deplorable experience Iâve ever endured. If negative stars were an option, Iâd give them in a heartbeat. What happened to me on August 20, 2025, was an absolute nightmare, and Iâm still grappling with the stress, humiliation, and chaos caused by their gross incompetence. Hereâs what happened: I had paid for my stay the day prior via bank transfer, using the bank details they provided in an email, because their payment linkâpredictablyâdidnât work. I bank with Raiffeisen, and as any Swiss resident knows, bank transfers in Switzerland are instantaneous, processed within seconds. I even called my bank to confirm, and they assured me the payment had gone through. Yet, at 10:00 AM, I was shocked when maids showed up at my door, ready to clean the apartment, acting as if I was already supposed to be gone. Confused and alarmed, I immediately called Vision Apartmentsâ customer service to sort things out. The response I received was beyond infuriating. The representative was shockingly rude, accusing me of lying about the payment and claiming that bank transfers take âup to seven business daysââan outright lie that anyone familiar with Swiss banking would see through. They refused to check their system or verify my payment, instead coldly ordering me to pack my four pieces of luggage and leave within five minutes. The audacity of their accusations was matched only by their complete lack of empathy. They blamed me for not using their broken payment link, despite the fact that I followed their exact instructions for the bank transfer, using the credentials they provided. No confirmation email, no willingness to investigateâjust hostile demands to vacate immediately. It was pouring rain outside, and with no time to process the situation, I was forced to frantically pack my four pieces of luggage under their pressure, thrown out with nowhere to go. The stress of this ordeal, coupled with their callous treatment, triggered a full-blown mental breakdown. I stood outside for two to three hours, completely lost and not knowing what to do next, with no one from Vision Apartments showing even a shred of humanity. And then, the final slap in the face: after Iâd been evicted, left stranded with all my possessions, I received an email from Vision Apartments confirming thatâsurpriseâthey had received my payment. Imagine the rage and despair of knowing I could have stayed, that I should have stayed, but instead was thrown out like trash because of their incompetence. They had the nerve to confirm the payment only after I was already out, emotionally shattered, with no apology or attempt to make things right. This wasnât just a mix-up; it was a catastrophic failure of basic decency and operational competence. Vision Apartments St. Gallenâs broken payment system, refusal to verify my transfer, and cruel eviction tactics are unforgivable. Their treatment of meâa paying customer who followed their instructionsâwas abusive and unacceptable. Iâm now left on the streets, struggling to recover from this ordeal, and I wouldnât wish this experience on anyone. Avoid Vision Apartments St. Gallen at all costs. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and utterly incapable of treating guests with respect. This wasnât a stay; it was a nightmare. Save your money, your sanity, and your dignityâstay literally...
Read moreI stayed at Vision Apartments in St Gallen twice. The booking process was easy, but there were a few associated processes (e.g., documentation, payment) which required some time. Consequently, I would strongly recommend anyone booking there to carefully read the confirmation emails - as it has all the necessary information (and would avoid some confusion as was the case for some reviewers on Google).
Reaching the apartments is quite straightforward from the main train station. The apartments are generally well-designed, although the kitchen would benefit from some basic items (such as salt, pepper, coffee and tea bags) and more wardrobe space would be welcomed. There were no instructions for using the coffee maker- and hence I did not experiment with it. During my first visit, I was unfortunate to have someone in the apartment upstairs moving around furniture until 01.30 a.m. in the night. During my second visit, I was unfortunate to be in an apartment with a strong cigarette smoke - but Nida managed to secure another apartment for me.
The apartments itself were of high quality, but it did seem as if previous occupants generally didn't take good care. As those from Switzerland would know, we tend to take good care of the apartments we rent.
However, I loved staying there and look forward to...
