Bugs! Lizards! Birds! Other wild animals of the rainforest! Situated on a hillside, this B&B is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for an escape from Taiwan's bustling cities. The main guest quarters featured a semi outdoor shared kitchen with a covered patio that includes ample sitting space, with a expansive lawn overlooking the serene farmland of Chishang and the dramatic Central Mountain Range beyond. The property also includes many short trails that lead to other scenic overlooks. Our hosts were easy to reach ahead of time, and were extremely accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. Breakfast was served family style, with many Taiwanese staples being served. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had newly renovated bathrooms. Bugs and flies are kept at bay with incense and a well fed army of house geckos that sing everyone to sleep at night with their chirps and barks. For dining options, the farmstay is a very short drive to Chishang village (about 5 minutes), and the hosts were extremely helpful with dining recommendations.
