This is a long overdue review lol Let me just say that my friend and I was really happy with our experience at Park City hotel, and I would definitely come back here!
Pro: MRT was directly below, this was really convenient when you've been travelling the whole day, and the last thing you want is walking long distance back to your hotel. There were lots of different shops, and restaurants within the same building as the hotel. One time, we were exhausted from travelling to Jiufen, plus it was raining quite heavily, so we didn't want to travel too far. We decided to eat at one of the restaurants within the building instead. Best decision ever! Went to Momo paradise, definitely go there if you like sukiyaki! There's a free washer and dryer here! out of all the hotels that we've stayed in Taiwan, none of them provided free washer! Definitely use it here if you get the chance. The room was really clean. They make the beds, tidy the bathroom, put in fresh towels everyday for you. It's really nice when we come back from an exhausting day of exploring, and the room is already clean and tidied up for you. Some of the hotels we stayed in would clean your room every 2nd day, but Park city does it for you every day.
Staff was so friendly and nice. They speak a decent level of English here, enough to understand you. I remember we came out of our hotel room at 1am, to speak to the front desk. We needed help on how to get to Jiufen due to a last minute decision. Jerry, bless his heart was trying his best to explain to us how to get there, which transport and the time as well. He went above and beyond for us!! The whole time, he was extremely nice and patient with us.
There's definitely lots of useful shops nearby the hotel. Bank of Taiwan is nearby, about 10-15min walk. Very useful if you need to exchange your money, because its the only bank that will exchange it for you and there's legit only 2 in Taipei. Mobile stores was just across the road, very useful when we needed a sim card. Also 7/11 is just outside the hotel, also very useful if you need to top up or buy your MRT card (they speak good english here), or if you need the essentials. Bonus: the view at night was amazing! I'm a sucker for hotels with nice views, it was one of the many reasons why I choose this hotel. It was so relaxing to unwind the day, and just looking at the city lights.
Con: There's no heater within the rooms, although there's definitely an aircon. I remember we had to call them, and they brought over a heater for us, it made little noises but it was alright. In terms of proximity, it's a bit far from the city, and main touristy areas. Commuting was a bit vexing when we had to keep transferring. Do be careful of the scooters around here. There's A LOT, and they can be a bit crazy and dangerous if you're not careful. Definitely scared us within 2 mins of stepping out of our hotel. The power outlet is a bit weak? Took a bit longer than usual to charge my phone. Not a big concern if you just charge it overnight. These are just minor issues, but it's just me being super nitpicking.
Overall, my experience at Park City hotel was beyond my expectations, and it made my trip in Taiwan all the more better. I highly recommend...
Read moreTwo Tails Luzhou is one of the better hotels in Taipei, standing out in both comfort and service. The location is excellent—directly above an MRT station—making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. The true highlight, however, is the staff. Their professionalism and warmth easily match the standards of an international 4-star property. Unlike many hotels in Taiwan, where ratings often feel inflated or inconsistent, this hotel delivers an experience that genuinely earns its rank.Taiwan’s hospitality market has long been weighed down by a disappointing reality: too many hotels operate with dated facilities, minimal upkeep, and inflated prices that fail to justify the value—especially when compared to the far more competitive markets in pan-Asia. Guests often encounter properties that feel tired, overpriced, and out of touch with international expectations. Not so with Two Tails. Recently rebranded and remodeled, it breaks away from the stagnation, offering a modern, well-maintained environment that finally matches the promise of Taiwan’s tourism potential.Rooms are well-kept, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable for both short and longer stays. While amenities are not over-the-top luxury, they are practical, clean, and perfectly sufficient.Overall, this hotel represents great value: accessible location, exceptional hospitality, and an experience that feels authentic rather than over-marketed. Highly recommended for travelers who want reliable...

This hotel is a true gem for both comfort and value.
08/2025 Having returned to the newly updated and rebranded Two Tails, I’m pleased to report that the core strengths of the hotel—comfort and service—remain exemplary. The staff continues to deliver attentive hospitality, and the overall experience feels just as welcoming as before the rebrand.
Aesthetically, the new branding is a whimsical collage of design elements—playful, eclectic, and at times, bordering on chaotic. That said, this design approach is deeply rooted in Taiwan’s cultural hospitality DNA. Themed coffee shops, themed restaurants, themed hotels—Taiwan has a long-standing tradition of embracing maximalism to cater to diverse tastes. It’s the “everything but the kitchen sink” philosophy, and Two Tails leans into it unapologetically.
While the aesthetics may be polarizing, the consistency in comfort and service makes Two Tails a reliable choice. If you can embrace the visual eccentricity as part of the local charm, you’ll find the experience both memorable and...
