I recently had the pleasure of staying in the King Room with Balcony on the 4th floor at Easy Life B&B in Taitung, and I must say, it lived up to its photographs and then some. The room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and came equipped with a large TV, coffee machine, kettle, and a fridge, ensuring a comfortable stay. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the bathroom was not only big but also featured a relaxing bathtub and a good quality hair dryer. The balcony added a nice touch of nature with its lovely plants, making for a serene place to unwind.
For those like me who appreciate convenience, the availability of US plugs, a free washing machine and dryer (laundry detergent included), was a great. The B&B also offers ample free parking right in front of the hotel, and the cozy lobby area is a comfortable spot to relax while waiting for laundry.
Location-wise, it’s just a 12-minute walk to the night market and Railway Art Village, which I found convenient for exploring Taitung’s evening scene.
However, it’s worth noting that the B&B does not have an elevator. The stairs are the only way to access rooms above the first floor. This could be a deal-breaker for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage.
A few areas for improvement could greatly enhance future stays: a more powerful WiFi signal, additional hangers (only two were provided), a chest of drawers for more storage (which could easily fit under the large TV), an in-room safe, and a full-length mirror.
