Lilac Hideaway — Hotel in Arusha

I’m so sorry about giving 1 star, but want to show the reality for other tourists. The photos are really nice, and the price is amazing, but.. So we got the last approval one week before our stay, everything seemed ok, but when we came to take the key of the property to a place as it was written in rules, the staff didn’t know anything about any keys. Then we wrote to the owner, and he replied that the place is given for the other people and suggested us to come back tomorrow. Talked very rudely, lied that he informed booking.com (no any messages were sent to booking.com, we talked with customer service), we searched for the other place to stay at the evening time. Then after 2 days he gave “no show” for us. When my boyfriend wrote him after, he replied “what do you want, that’s my business”. This owner has 4 places in Karatu (seems like a rich local) - Lilac cafe (nice place but prices like in Europe), restaurant, Hideaway and Elevate Inn - and do whatever he...

we stayed in five stars Marriott hotel before coming in karatu area. then we still rated this place five stars. it has its charm. located in such a quiet, beautiful corner of the Town! the place is like in a paradise, small coffee farm in the property. outside has corn and sunflower field. mountain is in front! beautiful beautiful view. it’s not walkable to the town but hotel provides in house food ordering! you can just stay here enjoy the peaceful surrounding. the price for the food is good and food is good too. the staff are super super helpful! they are local people super nice! security guide is also polite and sweet. super safe also. and it’s only 30 minutes from the entrance of Ngorongoro park! it provides us to have more time to explorer in the park! bonus: so many beautiful birds are in the property! if you are a bird lover, you will love...
