We needed a place that was convenient to both the NP and to commerce and were recommended to try here when our first choice was not available. What luck. A truly nice place set in leafy gardens with lots of birds. A pool for those who do such things and private relaxing areas for those less energetic.|Close to the Gate into Arusha National Park but on a tar road for ease of access to 'town'.|The welcome and safety briefing was friendly and we were quickly shown to our bungalows to settle in after a long drive up, and down, the Usumbaras.|Inside the door we found a nice clean sleeping area and a large comfortable bed with the bathroom area behind another internal door. This was fitted with modern clean facilities that provided H&C water etc.,|The main building contained a cosy lounge for relaxing or working the free Wiffy and a large spacious restaurant with outside seating areas too. The food was some of the best we had enjoyed on our four week trip and the service exceptionally friendly and efficient. We never hurry over meals and this never seemed to be rushed. First of all, thank you Josephine & the team for making our stay to something really unique, your warm welcome and an experience we will never forget.
Now to you who is trying to figure out where to stay around Arusha: save time, stop your research & book your stay at the Meru View Lodge!
WHY? Because …
… you’ll find here a small oasis just a few meters next to the gate of Arusha Nationalpark … the huts have everything you need, are furnished with love, and from your balcony/terrace you either look at the pool or in the big garden … the food is incredibly delicious - a mix of Western/German breakfast with Tanzanian influence, a coffee break in the afternoon, and a three meal dinner … and the most important point to make your stay unique: the PEOPLE. For us the lodge has become a place to meet people, gain new friends and learn something about the country and culture.
Thank you so much for this great...
Read moreWe loved this lodge! We stayed for only one night for our honeymoon trip, and wished we had more time to stay and enjoy it here. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding! The staff went above and beyond for us with flowers all over the bed when we arrived, assisted us with borrowing a outlet plug , and was so kind and polite to us. Very clean shower and warm water. Bed is comfortable. Lodge gives you your own private hut and it’s very comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and you can hear nature and birds all day and night. The traffic noise is very limited and feels remote! I wish we knew about this place sooner as we would of booked for more days! The price for the lodge is totally worth every penny! We were very happy with our stay here, highly recommend to all looking for a relaxing lodge with nature sounds, nice staff and clean accommodations. I will...
