L&J Modern Backpackers Kinondoni — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

This is the first time I have encountered such a bad service in a youth hostel. I don't know if the person is a waiter or a manager. She kept giving us a cold face and had no sense of service. She never took the initiative to talk to guests. After paying, she didn't take the initiative to take us to the room and told us that it was here. The room key was also difficult to lock. She was reluctant to stand up from the bench when we asked her for help. She just told us that we needed to lock it hard. We had to beg her for breakfast in the morning, as if we owed her a million dollars. There was discrimination...

I really liked the Hostel, i had the double bed room with e suit bathroom for myself. It was clean, but at the shower was not working good and there was an awful noise coming from outside. But the service was excellent, they turned of the water pump at night for me, which made that sound, so i could sleep. They tried to help with everything pretty fast. Also the breakfast was simple but tasty. All in all i rate it really good because for the affordable price it was really good. I remember i arrived very early in the morning with a clients poodle at around 3am and I had not made any booking what so ever, knocked at their door and they let me in. I had travelled from Nairobi to Dar so I was super exhausted and they welcomed me and treated me like a king. I won't forget the outstanding hospitality that I experienced and I would recommend the place to anyone looking to travel to Dar es salaam....
