Seascape Hotel And Conference Centre Limited — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

We three had the "One Bedroom Apartment" for a night. The room first given on 2/F was poor, air con didn't work well and felt musty upon entering. We were then moved to one floor down at the same kind of room which is much nicer. The room is very spacious with one king bed and a sofa bed. Great price USD98. ||The cleanliness of the hotel is not too good. The room is rather dark. The shower area is stained. TV set works. Other areas of the hotel are rather aged and tired. ||There're two security guards at the entrance floor. Seems nothing to walk around nearby although there're several resorts and beach hotels along the road. ||We took dinner at the hotel restaurant. Food no good. Rather salty soup and baked chicken not tender. ||It took 1 hr by taxi from airport to here at bargained price USD30 (first quote was as USD50) with some traffic obstructions on Saturday late afternoon. myself and my family stayed at Seascape from 14 till 17 Feb 2019. the hotel is very nice though it could do with a little TLC. the rooms are spacious and facilities are good, AC worked properly, shower was good. only coffee available in the rooms so suggest they could put some tea bags also. same were delivered to the room once requested for. the food was very good and very competitively priced. Their 'sizzler' was particularly good and I highly recommend it. staff were very helpful. we had a very good sea view from our room on the 4th floor whereas the view from our sons room on the 3rd floor was not quite as good. will definitely use it in the future as the location means you are out of the hustle and bustle of DAR but conveniently located to reach all the shopping malls and the peninsula. Although Seascape is not on the beach their residents are allowed access to the Whitesands Hotel beach, which is straight across the road. ample parking available and the wifi was excellent...

The hotel is quite good, with a swimming pool and a basic Gym. The rooms have almost all you will need in a modern hotel except a flat iron. But the rooms are spacious, flat screen TV, AC, comfortable bed, reading table and a coffee maker. The TV could use some more channels but if you are a sports lover, you will be happy with what they are offering. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices but this area needs improvement. Sometimes they had cereal and no cold milk, I think baked beans should be a must with the breakfast offered. The restaurant looks very nice by the way. I would have given this hotel a five if they had better restaurant service. If you want to go to the beach, you have to cross to White Sand Beach Hotel which, as long as you have the Seascape key they will let you in. I...
