Very nice public camping site on a central location with electricity (cosy lights), very clean toilets and showers. 4 night we spent here and it was an incredible experience! You are among wild animals walking around and hear all the sounds of them at night in your tent. We saw from our campsite buffaloes, hippo, black-faced vervet monkeys, antelopes, dik dik, lion, bat-aered fox, banded mongoose (= name in Swahili Nkuchiro (name campsite and mongoose eat reptiles so you're safe of snakes), white-tailed mongoose, zebra's, .... One night we saw 2 hyena's walking at 20 m from our tent! We also saw in the morning 2 leopards on 10 m. Also numerous birds, including the beautiful superb starling! Thanks Elly for making our trip unforgettable and making a campfire for us! It was really nice talking with you! Greetings...
Read moreNguchiro is a very nice campsite next to a little river. We saw a lot of animals during the 4 days and nights we stayed there. We stayed in a lot of different campsites in Tansania and this one had the loveliest staff. Eli and Hassan where very helpful. They helped us with the tents, they collected firewood and made us a big fire every night, they told us a lot about the animals. They where always helping the other quests, drivers and cookers with their jobs and cleaning everyday the campsite. The shower and the toilets are very clean. Often the water was warm in the showers, which we didn't expected in the middle of Serengeti. A big thank you to Eli and Hassan...

Showers are freezing cold, so you won't spend long in them! The toilets tended to be shared with bugs and spiders, but the didn't bother you.
Nice covered areas for cooking and eating if the weather isn't great.
Amazing views of the sky at night, fantastic location in the middle of the Serengeti with game drives starting the moment you leave camp.
Totally surreal experience seeing all the animals literally just outside (or maybe inside) the campsite. Can even experience lions around the...
