The wooden House — Hotel in Kilimanjaro

Spectacular and unique design, unlike anything else in Tanzania. We were welcomed with fresh juice, fruits, coffee beans, and basic groceries in the fridge. Great variety of shampoos and conditioner, too. Loved the Kilimanjaro coffee, coffee machine, fun pool (for the kids), stylish bathroom, and reeeeally comfy beds with hotel-style bedding.

Located in Rau, a part of Moshi and a 10-min TukTuk ride from most places. As cool as it looks, the wooden design makes the house quite thin-walled, and nearby Uru Rd has traffic noise even at night; earplugs helped, the kids didn't mind. No mozzie-nets. The meshed windows keep most mosquitos out, but use spray for any that get in. The house stays quite chill, no issues with heat. TV has Netflix but requires figuring out unlabeled buttons. Outdoor kitchen is cool but not highlighted in the ad. No washing machine as advertised, but househelp assisted with laundry in under 24 hours. Overall, a great stay in Moshi. My friends and I stayed at the wooden House for 4 days (even extended 1 night) and had an amazing time there. Daniel and his staff made sure we had everything we needed; eggs and avocado for breakfast, a bus to Kenia, a cleanded house everyday etc… And if you get tired of hanging out at the pool, you can do daytrips to the hot springs or the Materuni waterfalls, which are both not far away. Commençons par l’hôte Daniel qui est juste fantastique. De l’accueil en passant par les conseils et en finissant par sa gentillesse, tout était parfait. Il est pro-actif et ça c’est un gros plus. La maison est spacieuse, confortable et surtout on s’y sent bien. Dans l’une des chambres vous voyez même le Kilimandjaro en vous réveillant ! Le rêve. Vous avez un très bel espace extérieur où vous pouvez vous retrouver autour d’un feu le soir. La piscine est aussi l’un des points forts de cette villa. Enfin, l’équipe sur place est géniale. BAB-G est là pour vous aider et répondre à vos moindres questions. Pour la situation géographique vous êtes un peu sur l’extérieur de Moshi ce qui vous permet de ne pas être au centre ville tout en étant proche de tout.
