We loved our stay here! Our flight arrived very late (2 am) at night and More Than A Drop had everything set and ready for us to sleep despite the late arrival. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. The entire place was spotless and the staff were beyond kind. One day after breakfast all of the girls who were in school there came out to let us sample the various items they had prepared in the kitchen, a real treat. Staff were always helpful and smiling. I was thankful for the extra blankets as it could get chilly at night with the rain. The location is perfect - far enough away from downtown Moshi to be quiet and peaceful but downtown was also within walking distance (if you don't mind a half hour walk). If a half hour walk is too long, it is very easy to hail a TukTuk from the road near More Than A Drop. The restaurant was fantastic, easily the best food we had...
Read moreI pre-booked my accomodation here before climbing Kilimanjaro and I was very satisfied with my stay. They took great care of me.
The staff are friendly, the location is great as well, you can walk outside the main gate and easily find public transport if you need to get around. Just walk to the main road. The food is absolutely amazing. It's strictly vegan. As someone that isn't vegan, the food was so good that I have to recommend trying it. Martha is a great chef. The eating area is beautiful and located outside alongside a garden.
The rooms are not big but perfect for solo/couples travelers. The room, toilet and shower is clean and you have access to hot water.
Your stay here is also for a great cause as you're supporting adolescent girls with their studies in hospitality, cooking and other educational fields as well.
I highly recommend More...
Read moreMore Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two.
Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours.
The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning.
The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio.
My time there will be remembered as a...
