Fraudulent Practices for safari!

We booked a safari with Happy Africa Holiday for May 31st and were asked to pay an amount of $222 USD in advance. We transferred the money five days before our trip. Upon arrival at the airport on the day of the safari, we were informed by a representative that our payment had not yet arrived in the company's bank account. Despite showing them proof, we were pressured into paying the full amount a second time, in cash, with the promise that our original payment would be refunded.

After the safari, we repeatedly contacted Robert and the company to get our money back, without success. We paid our own bank €30 for an official investigation. Our bank confirmed with clear evidence that the $222 USD was successfully received by Happy Africa Holiday's bank.

We have since provided this proof to the company multiple times and have asked for an immediate refund. Their response has been slow and unhelpful. As of today, we have not received our refund and the communication has stopped.

This company's actions are dishonest and unethical. They lied about not receiving the payment to make us pay twice and are now refusing to return our money. We have now been defrauded of our money, and we want to warn other travelers to be extremely cautious. Do not trust this company...

The staff stared at us while we ate and many did not know English. Even if we ordered our food hours before lunch and dinner, it was always ready 30-40 minutes after the time we asked to have our meals served. They mostly serve chicken, which was raw in the middle. The rest of the food was okay. The floor in our room was almost covered with ants, and there were ants in our bed. The bedsheets were dirty and had a whole, and when we asked for new ones it took long and the new sheets were dirty as well. The one of the pools were not filled and the other one was dirty. We stayed during low season, so maybe that’s why. The good part was that the hotel was close to Mikumi...

The hotel is situated a bit removed from the road (which is good as it is less noisy) and covers extensive grounds. I stayed in a room (they also have bungalows) and found it functional yet bare of any decoration. Lighting is either dim or very bright. The wifi did not reach it. The bed was clean and a warm cover was available. The bathroom was basic, water was OK but showering meant the entire room was flooded. ||Drinks were available from the bar and food too - but they needed over an hour to prepare some simple noodles and soup, and obviously did not care.
