The are only 4 lodges where you can stay so there’s a true feeling of disconnecting and reconnecting with yourself and nature. ||||It’s ideal if you don’t want to stay too far from the airport but is closer to Stonetown and all day trips and beaches are perfectly fine to do in the day and still have that zen and soothing feeling that you have when you can finally relax in the evening. Also Jamal is very involved and will ensure you experience and visit the fullest out of Zanzibar and will advise and arrange any transportation if required. ||||There are hotels nearby where you can eat and also the fresh and delicious seafood cooking at the lodge as wel is something you have to tryl. Breakfast and other meals are served at your terrace and you feel totally relaxed. ||||Rooms are also cleaned on a daily base and they will ensure and spray to keep it bugfree.||||The beach you have is ideal to walk and is mostly used via a stair to get down. There are nicer beaches but you are bothered and disturbed all the time by the beachboys which just ruined the vibe for me. You don’t have that here atleast ||||I also felt very safe as a sole female traveler and there is place for private parking and there is security and staff to help you. A good central location for exploring the island. Wi-fi was adequate for keeping in touch with the world. The staff did all they could to keep the mosquitos at bay, spraying the rooms and lighting incense sticks every evening.|We were asked if we wanted dinner one evening in which we agreed as it was getting late. We were given overcooked octopus and rice which was totally inedible. When we told the staff, the chef came & apologised telling us it was too late to order dinner, which is why it wasn't very good. My initial thoughts were if it was too late to order dinner, why was it offered in the first place? When we came to settle the extras bill before checking out, we were offered very little money back for the overcooked octopus and rice as the owner was not on site to agree to any refunds.
