Where do I start There is nothing in walking distance to this hotel, so bear that in mind. The beach really needs cleaning. Old washed up tyres, bottles and rubbish all over the hotel beach. Beach needs to be cleaned. There needs to be sun loungers, sun parasols, and a towel service available to guests at the beach. There are none of these things available at beach. Pool was filthy, pool needs to be emptied and cleaned thoroughly. Drainage needs to be fixed. The area where they serve coffee outside needs to be swept and washed daily. Sat down there first thing in the morning and there were food stains all over the tiles from night before. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard. However, our room was dated. The staff member who checked us in gave us no information on where to find amenities within the hotel spa, gym, restaurants, tour guide etc. No information whatsoever. Bear in mind this hotel charges in dollars so if you are not American, this may cause a slight problem. A 10 min taxi ride up the road is $20. If you are not fully inclusive, buffet meals are $20 per person per meal. As there are no local amenities, you will have no choice but to eat from their hotel. Buffet is pretty basic, nothing exciting. Soft drinks are charged separately. You can NOT bring any food or drink on the premises from outside, but there is no shop within the hotel to buy snacks, pringles, sweets, crisps, chocolate etc. So your just supposed to just go without. I've travelled all over the world stayed in numerous hotels. Whoever is managing this hotel has no clue about hotel management. Male Staff just stare at you when you enter the hotel, no greeting, no smiles, it's very bizarre. They stand around like bodyguards. Disliked this hotel so much we left after 2 nights and went to main land Tanzania and booked a hotel there for 3 nights and only came back to catch our flight back to London. We were supposed to stay 6 nights at this hotel for our honeymoon. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It's just pretty on the outside, that's it. Maybe they are not used to catering to...

Read moreThe place is very beautiful by the beach and well maintained. If you’re looking for beauty then this is the place. Although if you are looking for an all inclusive 5 star experience, this might not be the one. The room smelt like mold, and when bringing this to the managements attention they sent a cleaner to spray the place with air freshener - like that was going to help and while the room was being clean y next to us we requested for that room of which it was denyed. The door couldn’t lock and the tv kept switching off after the volume went louder than 12 making it very difficult to watch tv to unwind. The service is very slow. Most staff is very nice although I had an encounter with Rosie who brought our room service and we requested the pay machine and she said it wasn’t working (only because she was too lazy to go and get it) then we also asked for the food to be microwave which she then informed us that it’s busy for an hour (another lie) of which we then said to use the bars microwave - she said this was broken (another lie) we went ourselves to the bar to warm it and she was standing there and gave us a dirty look along with telling me to move out of the way while I was standing and she wanted to pass through the chairs instead of going around me. Completely disrespectful and extremely poor hospitality. To lie and have an attitude without even apologizing. Also the chefs got the food wrong and made a new dish and as ‘a kind gesture’ they gave us the second one ‘free’ we weren’t suppose to pay for the first one and as a 5 star hotel, making food allergy mistakes like that could cost a persons life instead of saying the second plate of food is on the house (when it clearly isn’t) there is some good staff but a few bad apples ruins the experience and makes this hotel not a 5...
