We absolutely LOVED our lunch at Tupomojo! The food was great- so many vegetarian options. I had a guacamole on toast and it was so good! I would highly recommend this place- it’s not “touristy”. A real local hotspot. The owner and ladies in the kitchen are lovely and friendly and very welcoming. An absolute gem of a place. A thing to keep in mind- they only work with cash. You wont be sorry you went.

The food was unimpressive and the calamari uncut. Way too much money For a restaraunt. Unimpressed. 23000 shillings for this? Also the chickens jumped into the dinner half way through. A known issue. Stay away from this cafe. Not worth a visit. The furniture is so uncomfortable. Food is just food. Nothing special. Not worth dining out.

🙌 Hassan and his team were so friendly, we had an amazing and fresh breakfast before we set off to see the ruins. Hassan was even kind enough to recommend a tuktuk driver that goes by the name of Lukas that we used for the rest of our trip whilst in and around Stone Town. Make sure to take cash as they don't have card facilities 👍
