Princess of Zanzibar — Hotel in Unguja

Very nice, small hotel consisting of a small number of brand-new bungalows, very conveniently located just a few minutes walking to the beach. Excellent, clean and large swimming pool (open day-and-night, with nice lightning after dark). As a solo traveller I was given a one-bed bungalow, which is intended to be for "back packers" (and which is very reasonably priced) but in fact is really much more than that. The room is very nicely decorated with everything needed for a quiet night, though there is no shower/toilet available in the room, but I've been told this will be added shortly to the bungalow. Kind and helpful couple of German owners, really dedicated to make this place a perfect place under the sun. The only slightly negative points are the rather high price of the food and the large number of (relatively quiet) dogs on...

Princess of Zanzibar is one of the best resort on island. We were guests of Petra for some days and she treated us like family. The place is brand new and well fitted out. The room are new, clean and large. We ate there almost every day because the cook is very very talented. He cooked us a fish like a pro. The resort got a big open bar and a restaurant. Eine wunderschöne und äußerst saubere Anlage mit sehr hochwertiger Ausstattung und einem großem Pool mit einer beschatteten Poolbar. Die deutschen Besitzer haben uns bei unserem spontanen Besuch sehr offen und herzlichen empfangen. Wir haben uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Allgemein wird sehr viel wert auf Qualität und Sauberkeit gelegt und das sieht man auch. Wir sind in sämtlichen Hotels auf der Insel gewesen und haben noch nie so eine gute und hochwertige Ausstattung gesehen, die auch noch sehr sauber ist. Hier geht man auch gerne auf Toilette. Das Essen und die Getränke waren fantastisch. Sehr frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Wir durften auch die Bungalows ansehen. Auch hier wird ein hoher Standard geboten. Jedes Zimmer ist ein Unikat und wunderschön und hochwertig eingerichtet. Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Sohn und unserer vier Monate alten Tochter da. Es gab sogar Spielsachen, Dart, Billiard und auch eine riesige Karaoke Bar mit Leinwand für Filmeabende. Unser Sohn wurde von Thomas an die Hand genommen und auf einen Keks eingeladen. Unser sonst sehr schüchternes Kind ist direkt zum Haus der Eigentümer mitgelaufen und hat mit Thomas die Kekse geholt. Auch von Petra ließ sich der Große herumtragen, was er sonst nur von Vertrauenspersonen zulässt. Das spricht für sich :). Es war uns ein Fest und wir werden auf jeden Fall...
