This was my 5th stay at the green lake resort. I love the location outside the city, although some may see this as an inconvenience for visiting the|The nightlife. I have the phone number of the taxi who first transfered me from the airport and use him every visit and most restaurants and places i visit cost between 150 and 200 baht which may appear expensive to the miserly but its a quarter of what i would pay back home for the same distance. He also does my "excursions" rather than paying a tour company and i travel at the time i want to, not the tour company.|The rooms at the hotel are very spacious and well appointed, i requested ground level this time as i am having problems climbing steps and my patio looked out over the pool while the view from my front door looked out over the lake and the mountains beyond. The restaurant has been improved since my last visit and is now fully enclosed, keeping the cool air in and the insects out.it can be very busy at weekends as the banqueting facilities seem very popular - a good sign of value and quality!|I will stay here again, and...
Read moreFantastic resort next to the green lake which is not actually green (unless I have colour blindness). Next door to the resort is the Lanna golf course, this is the reason why I checked in to this resort. Though not knowing that I would be the only falang in the entire building. And I don't care at all that I'm the only foreigner because I am learning more of the Thai culture instead of boozing and womanising with the other falangs that prefer the Chiang Mai centre. Getting back to the resort I am staying here for 2 weeks. Playing golf for most of those days. I met the general manager whose name is Moo and he was pleased that I had chosen this place for my lengthy stay. The other staff members are delightful. The two girls on reception and the dining room staff for breakfast and dinner were so charming and so friendly. The room I am in is perfect with a balcony looking over the pool. The room is cleaned daily and the bed sheets changed also. I'm coming back again in December to Chiang Mai and to this same resort. Highly...
Read moreVery nice hotel. Stayed here during Xmas. There were some company parties going on in evenings, music was stopped around 11pm. I imagine this happens throughout the year. Rooms are nice and clean, wifi is not everywhere as strong, but decent. When i'll visit again i will ask for building 3, which has some mountain view from the top floor, and has a balcony in the shade during the day. Beds are comfy, not too hard like most Thai hotels, still firm though. Pools and outdoors are kept clean and tidy. The hotel is directly under the airplane routing. You hear the planes very well, but CM airport is not super busy. Overall, very...
