Poor performance
lack of communication and a boss who is more than arrogant and presumptuous. There were two of us as guests. Unfortunately, no one greeted us, but that was completely fine, as the restaurant was well-filled. After a short wait, we chose a free table. We ordered 6 dishes, but unfortunately 2 were not available. We were only informed of this after the first two dishes had been served and we were already eating. So we had to interrupt our meal and choose something new. Unfortunately, we were informed again 10 minutes later that this dish was also not available and we played this game again. So far, so good or bad. As a guest, I would have expected open communication about what was on the menu and what wasn't. At least after the second disappointment. The fact that 4 dishes were not available and information about the unavailability came 10 minutes later is pretty cheeky. The food was really delicious, though, you have to admit that. The restaurant advertises "Visa Welcome" in the parking lot, suggesting a cosmopolitan attitude. Unfortunately, we discovered this is not the case when paying. In Thailand, there is a surcharge for paying by card, which is normal for credit cards, but new for debit cards. It is a shame that it is not mentioned here that an add-on is also charged for debit cards. In the end, the bill and the debit on the card did not match and we questioned this. After being told off by the waiter, I asked the manager to talk to me. Despite the good food, the overall performance could be improved. The manager made it clear to me that I was wrong and that the restaurant had done nothing wrong. In Thailand, you should just accept it and keep your mouth shut. It was clearly suggested that foreign customers are not necessarily welcome. The manager did not think that it was not about the few thb for paying by card. At least a little insight into 4 missing dishes and the manner of communication would have been expected. But unfortunately we were met with nothing but arrogance in extremely poor English. Summary: The food was good, the rest was poor. I think the chances of a good or bad evening are 50:50 here as a Thai, worse as...
Read moreToday was the second time I got wrong food, that I did not order. When I told the waiter that this was not the food I ordered, she was rude, and only after I told her that I am not accepting the food I did not order, she took it back. No apologies or anything. I think she have a problem serving customers.
Our other visit today (15/02/23) wasn't much better either. The boy, who was delivering food to tables, decided to give my Lemongrass Chicken to someone else. I saw the chicken on his delivery plate, together with our 2 rice plates and fish that we ordered, but he only gave us the rice and fish, then took the chicken to some other table. We gave a note to our waitress what happened and after waiting another 30 minutes of my missing chicken, I had to give up with waiting. Then (of course) we had to tell them twice to take the chicken out of my bill. If someone else ate it, they...
Read moreHighly recommended restaurant for authentic and inexpensive Thai cuisine. The background music is soft, providing a great ambience for a truly enjoyable dining and lunch experience. Opens everyday of the week. I recommend the crab meat with oyster mushrooms, the green curry with either lean tender pork or chicken with mini round eggplant and northern Thai pepper. The curries are not spicy. Menus in English is available on request. The attractive and tall waitresses are polite and can speak passable English. Plenty of parking nearby, disabled and family-friendly. Walking distance to Chiang Mai International Exhibition Center and several nice hotels . Has free breakfast of wholemeal bread and white bread, chicken congee, and...
