Pros - i booked the biggest suite and it was nice n big. Welcome drink quite nice and refreshing even at late evening check in. The receptionist courteous and if you decide to stay here rented car is highly advised. Cons - Not much staff, No amenities, dint see any restaurant and spa is outdated with quite sorry service. Breakfast spread was quite poor and staff mostly is non english speaking. Concern - I had a situation with spa. First day I used1.5 hours and while massage was OK the lady kept talking/laughing/joking making it hard to relax, she even make repeated comments "you sleep hahshahss, dont sleep ok !!".. Since my knee was still hurting I booked next day slot however I waited 20 mins for her arrival. There was some confusion which they did not inform. Eventually she was rushy n panicky in service and hurt my knee.. upon which i just had to walk out midway, since she wasnt understanding my request to stop pressing on one point for 10 mins. It is also important to highlight that the spa price for similar services in the city is 100 to 300 baht depending on location, and here was 1000 baht for 60 mins. The spa owner came to apologise or check next day but again unable to understand English clearly.Situation 2 - while we did the suite room, it smelled at a particular time, being close to sewer. No clear response was provided, we just had to deal with it.Situation 3 - too many mosquitoes, and when complained given an insect killing racket for us to keep kiling them individually, then a simple spray.Overall, I would not recommend this resort at all, as even the location is hidden among a place like village or countryside homes difficult to find. Generally staff is kind but needs to have English speaking...

I booked this hotel as part of my stay in Chiang Mai as I came here to train boxing. This is rated as a 4 star, however in my opinion it is closer to a 3 star. ||Pros: |1.The service was really good. Everyone is helpful and talks with a smile. |2. The room is huge! Alot of space.|3.The location isn't too far from the centre. I enjoyed the quiet nature of this place. |4. Welcome fruit was a nice touch |5. It's close to the airport. ||Cons: |1.Very dated and weathered, needs a much needed update. |2. Alot of signs was in Chinese only, I locked my passport in the safe by accident because I couldn't understand the notice. |3.There are ALOT of warning signs around the whole place. Penalty for this penalty for that. Even a penalty if you accidentally start your period and soil the sheets accidently. This was not welcoming.|4. The cleaning was subpar, I would get fresh towels and the bin emptied. But the bed sheets weren't changed once I was there for 6 days. Limescale in the bathroom. |5. The pool bar is closed and the pool towel area is closed. I say closed lightly, it's not used at all. I was confused about where to get my pool towel from and I was directed to the bath towels back in my bedroom|6. The pool is in the middle of the hotel rooms therefore creating a epicentre for sound to travel. Anyone having any conversation can be heard and echoed if you are at the pool. ||If it wasn't for the genuinely lovely staff members I probably wouldn't have stayed longer than a day. The warning signs...

This place is very classic in Thai style and I loved that. It has a beautiful pool and little gardens with lots of green plants which bring joy and life. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice bed, a small fridge, and a kettle. I really enjoyed staying in my room while listening to music, reading my book, and jounaling with a cup of hot tea. The breakfast was fabulous. They provided fresh fruits, vegetables, freshly brewed coffee along with preordered meals. It was perfect! Their service is more than enough because the staff are very attentive trying to help customers out and they are smiling anytime. Their communication in English is quite good. I had no problen with communicating with the staff. One thing I am not very happy about this hotel is that it seems like a smoker-friendly or smoker super-welcomed place. I saw several customers smoking sitting outside the balcony and by the pool. I was able to smell strong smoke even when I was in my room. I feel so sorry about the hotel which has a great atmosphere with lots of green and colorful plants. I am certain this place would attract much more customers if the atmosphere of being green is in tuned with some clean air without any smoke. If this place keeps the policy of smoking-fine on the property, I won't come back again. What a loss for me!

Hidden gem in a beautiful and serene neighborhood, waking up to birds singing and good Thai & Chinese style breakfast buffet. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, easy to get Grab or Bolt taxi or rent a scooter at the resort. Just around the corner there is a Chinese restaurant, they make delicious Yunnan style BBQ skewers, we kept going back there as the flavour is just so yummy and addictive!! About 15 minutes walking distance, there's Rimping Supermarket, Lotus, Mae Hia Fresh Market, and various restaurants, coffee shop & bakery. Also close to many international schools in Hang Dong district. Minutes drive to Chiang Mai Night Safari, a great place for family and kids! We would definitely come back & stay at Vdara Resort & Spa again!!

Quite far from everything, but if you have a car or bike, it might be worth a try. The price seems reasonable. It appears to be Chinese-owned—not entirely sure—but there are lots of Chinese prints everywhere. The pool area is nice, though there are only a few sun chairs. The staff is super nice and welcoming. However, a HUGE downside is the lack of a designated smoking area. Most of the guests seemed to be Chinese or Korean, and many smoked frequently, including near the pool and even on the room terraces. The smoke spreads everywhere, which is far from pleasant. This alone made me drop 1–2 stars. The rooms are very spacious. So, if you’re looking for a quiet location and don’t mind the smoke, this could be the place for you.
