It was truly a blessing to have chosen Anda Lanta Resort for our 6-day family holiday on Koh Lanta. Our initial accommodation choice (refer to my earlier review of that resort) was fully booked, even though we had attempted to reserve six months in advance. Booking Anda Lanta through their Bangkok office over the phone was smooth and hassle-free. Since we stayed through the New Year, it was mandatory for all guests to participate in their New Year’s dinner and party. We thoroughly enjoyed the event, which featured an abundance of seafood, a generous spread of roasted meats, and a delightful assortment of entrées and desserts. The New Year party was well-organized, with entertaining performances by hotel staff from various departments (front office, housekeeping, restaurant, and technicians). The mesmerizing fire show and the spectacular New Year’s fireworks added to the charm of the celebration. Check-in at the resort was quick and pleasant, accompanied by cold towels and welcome drinks. Our standard family room, located in a 4-unit block facing the hillside, was just a short 5-minute walk to the lobby, passing by the swimming pool. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a mid-sized balcony equipped with a cloth-drying rack, which was very handy for drying swimwear and snorkeling gear. The super-king bed was exceptionally large—larger than the usual super-king—comfortably accommodating three people with ample space. The single attached bed was also comfortable. The shower pressure, however, was moderate and could be improved. We enjoyed several of the resort’s amenities, including the gym and kayaking, with life jackets readily available. Our kids loved the clean swimming pool, which had fresh, well-filtered water system. The breakfast, served from 7 AM to 10 AM, offered a wide variety of English and Thai dishes. I particularly enjoyed the selection of breads and pancakes. The fruit section was consistently replenished, and the fruits were incredibly sweet, especially the Thai mini pineapples. The watermelon and mango were equally delightful. The staff, from the front office to the restaurant, were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Would I recommend this resort to others? Certainly! Overall, I would rate the resort 5 out of 5. From the staff’s exceptional attitude to the convenient location, excellent amenities, spotless cleanliness, and well-maintained pool, I wouldn’t hesitate to give them full marks. I do have two suggestions for improvement: 1. Label the dishes at the buffet line for better clarity. 2. Paint the road humps at the hotel entrance with yellow and white stripes for better visibility. If you’d like to read more of my reviews on places and restaurants, don’t forget to click like!

A very disappointing stay. Firstly, it wasn't clearly advertised that this wasn't a hotel room (room cleaned, new towels, new bedding etc), this was a self contained room in an apartment complex 5 minutes from the resort that we thought we booked. Secondly, the Anda Lanta massively failed to effectively resolve and compensate following a very disappointing start to our holiday. On entering our room on arrival, at 14:30 on 20th Jan our toilet was completely blocked and would not flush. After contacting housekeeping/engineer, who tried to fix but failed, we were told that they would attempt to fix the plumbing again throughout the day and assured us that it would be sorted within a few hours. Due to the lack of privacy, and access to a functioning toilet we decided to spend time away from the property. On returning at 1030pm, the entire room smelt strongly of urine and human waste as the toilet was overflowing, it was overwhelming, and we couldn’t spend 5 minutes in there let alone a night, which would likely made us sick. There was a note left on the side apologising that they couldn't fix it, and that they would try again tomorrow. Unable to stay in the room we walked back and forth between both receptions in hope of finding someone who worked for the hotel to help us, which took half an hour (as reception was closed for the night). Instead of just giving us a new room to sleep in, and despite describing the smell) they first spent over an hour contacting maintenance staff to try and fix the toilet. We were eventually given keys to a room so that we could get some sleep, however 1.5 hours had passed from when we first enquired, it was very late so we were tired the next day. In the morning, we had to check out of the room we stayed the night in and our previous room was still not available until much later in the afternoon as they were still fixing the toilet. Leaving us without a room for the majority of the day. We requested a refund for just the first night alone, however this was not provided, instead they offered a compensation that amounted to less than 1/3 of one night's stay, which quite frankly, was a joke. The whole situation was dealt with poorly and lazily, with little regard for the fact we'd been travelling all day and simply needing a clean and functioning room.

Love this place. We stayed in Lanta for 8 days and stayed in Anda for the last two nights of our trip. We stayed in room 805 which was located at the top of the resort in a hotel block. The room was spacious & had a lovely views of the ocean & all surrounding wildlife. We spent a little time by the pool. After a relatively child free holiday we noticed there was lots of children & families by this pool. This wasn’t such a problem but was noticed as Lanta feels to be more of a couples retreat than a family vacation location. We then headed out to the beach. We felt this was one of the best & most relaxing beaches on our trip. We loved the reggae bar at the end of the beach. This one had the best vibes deffo worth a visit. Compared to the other areas on the Lanta this is super secluded. No 7/11s or ATMs or wide choice of resto’s on the beach. Keep this in mind when visiting here. I guess if I had one constructive criticism regarding this resort it would be the hotel restaurant / bar. It just feels really out of place & not very inviting. I feel if the hotel would do something different here it would smash it. Esp with there being not very many food options in the area. Also a tip. We used there hotel transfer taxi to krabi airport. It took about two hours & we had a great driver. This was a great way to end our stay on Lanta. Thank you Anda Lanta Resort we hope to visit again.

We stayed 2 and a half weeks this time including Christmas. As you can tell from my glowing review we are big fans and returning guests. The staff are super friendly and really strive to fulfill your wishes. I hoped upon returning that nothing had changed. It was so nice to see familar faces and I saw immediately some upgrades. There is now a play ground for the kids, the gym is new, in fact I watched it get fitted, they now have dining tables on the beach and 2 days a week they now put on a fire show and a BBQ station on the beach. This is all new since last year. Also they now have a daily happy hour 5-8pm. This shows that they really mean it in the reviews when they write back that they will look into improvements. I know the previous lack of playground was mentioned in a previous review. I always thank the chefs if the food is great and this helped develop a rapport which ended in amazing treatment of special food tastings, drink tastings etc. They have also extended the menu with more thai food too. The staff are still going out early cleaning all paths, beach area etc every morning to keep the place spick and span. The whole area of massage spa, reception, pool, restaurant etc is all set together with very close distances but plenty of greenery in between and around so very beautiful. The bay and beach beyond is right on the doorstep, the right side is pretty much just for Andalanta and it's gorgeous. Very peaceful here in the south of Lanta. For a family resort perfect. If you want to do trips they will arrange taxis or boats for you no problem. Even beach pick ups. We had to leave before the restaurant opened for an early flight but they made us a packed breakfast which was given to us by a very nice lady who got up very early to do this for us. They even made us some extra banana muffins the night before just for us as we had all got along so well. Things like this really make you feel welcome and special. Do not be shy, just go to reception with your questions and wishes and they will look after you. The Christmas evening was wonderful. The whole team got together with extra bbq station, dancing, fireshow, fireworks etc. My only regret is I coud not try all the dishes as it was so much. The buffet area was set up as pure art work with the fruit cut into marvelous creations from the staff. The rooms are great, biggest beds ever. we had superior room and forest view. Very clean and I realized that the mattresses are new, great quality. Great balconies overlooking the gardens. Food is amazing, great choice, especially breakfast buffet. They have the usual bread, toast, bacon eggs, cereals etc then add into that a station that makes fresh ommeletes or scrambled or fried for you with your choice of mixes and then Thai food changed daily ranging from rice dishes, vegetable dishes, spinach baked with cheese, broccili, squid, meats and this is just breakfast. Along with fruits, pancakes, French toast, its a 3 course meal included in the room price. TIP: do not leave breakfast until the last minute( latest 10am) the ommelete station is very popular and gets extra busy at 9.30 ish. The pool is lovely, 2 smaller shallower areas for the little ones. The spa is overlooking the ocean, it's so picturesque and the 3 lovely ladies are there to help you relax. We have been to Thailand often, this resort stands out to us as a family as the perfect place. TIP: take a private minivan from krabi airport for the family, 2,5 to 3 hours for around 90 euros. includes car ferry, reservations can arrange it for you. so much easier than messing with ferries and pick ups etc. Thankyou Andalanta management and your wonderful staff for looking after our every wish and taking such good care of us. You have really got a place in our hearts. We...

Found this hidden gem by accident really. Its one of last resorts in Ko Lanta Yai (South) which means that it does take about 2-3 hrs from the airport but its a scenic journey nonetheless. I would highly recommend using their private airport transfer service as you are guaranteed a seamless ride to the location. The price is reasonable for the quality of their vehicle and comfort.

The resort itself sits on a flat land facing the beach. We took the beach villa and absolutely loved it. Spacious rooms with all the necessary fittings. Aircon works great for hot humid days and the bed is fluffy and comfortable. Bathroom was huge and water heater & pressure were great. Housekeeping is diligent, discreet and fast. We loved our room which faced the beach directly. You will notice how their gardens throughout the property are immaculately maintained. Due credit to the quality of the gardening team here.

The beach itself is beautiful but tricky because you can't see where the rocks are underwater. Here's a tip, walk straight from the middle of the 2nd row of beach chairs and your path will be stone-free! Be mindful however that the ocean brings in a lot of trash onto the beach but since its a private property their beach is cleaner than their neighbour. Another tip is to coincide your booking with the Lunar cycle. The moon travels east to West at night and her journey takes place right across the beach sky so watching the moon transition into full will be an added delight. It was low season and rainy when we went but the sheer tranquility of this place always makes you feel at peace.

The restaurant is a highlight of this place. The chefs are well trained and nearly every dish we ordered was very tasty. Spice levels can be easily communicated beforehand though their default level is almost no spicy heat at all. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and were happy not to go out in search of good food.

Location wise, this resort is at the end of the single main road which means shops and other restaurants are at least 1.5km away. Fortunately, the resort provides rental scooters by the hour to facilitate these needs. I would say that knowing how to ride a scooter is almost mandatory in order to truly maximise the value of this resort. Alternatively, stock up on munchies and alcohol before arriving and you're pretty set.

Finally, the staff of this resort makes it a true gem. While they might not go out of their way to make your wishes come true (since it was low season they had lesser staff which makes economic sense) but their warmth and friendliness always made you feel at home. As you can see, we had an awesome time here and would happily...
