The ratings are very subjective and depends on your expectations. Why 2/5? It is a very nice bay, but: There are no shade at all, you will grill on the beach. Maybe it is what you are looking for... Then that's great for you. There is no beach at high tide. We went at low tide. The beach was completely soaked with sea water, so if you place your towel on the sand, it will absorb the water. For us, that's an inconvenience. There are rubbish everywhere, absolutely everywhere! It would be so nice without all these plastic rubbish. And there is a cafe on the beach, with 2 or 3 staff, and they sit there and don't collect the rubbish in front of their cafe! Why? There was no customer so they were not busy and had nothing to do. So why not making the place attractive? We were there early (before 10am) and were litteraly alone on what could be a beautiful beach, but we left because it full of rubbish, no dry sand for your towel, and no shade...

I absolutely loved this beach! Nui Bay was by far my favorite spot in Koh Lanta.

Pros: The waters were a stunning turquoise, the sand was soft, the waves were gentle, and it felt so secluded. Plus, the water was the perfect temperature. We went during the early morning, and no one was there at all! We had the whole beach to ourselves. Around lunch time there were about 5 other groups there, but it’s seriously paradise! If you are looking for privacy, this is the beach!

Cons: We visited during the off season (October), and it seemed like the beach wasn’t being maintained as much. A local named Khun Matsuli mentioned there used to be a restaurant, but it’s probably only open during the high season. There was a bit of trash where the sand meets the trees, though none in the water. It didn’t ruin our experience, but it would’ve been nice if people cleaned up...

A mixed bag. This is a very pretty bay with clear calm water and nice fine sand. The approach is a bit steep down some sandy steps but no problem unless one has a disability. Very little parking space if you have a car but we managed. What is a problem though is the incessant very loud techno music blaring from the beach bar that fills the whole bay. If you prefer this to the sound of waves and birds then I guess this is your place. I asked at the bar if there was a special reason for this - Valentine's day...but was told no. They offered to turn it down and did. I was very grateful and bought 2 small beers. 100bht each isnt cheap but no problem. Sadly the volume crept up again soon but we did get a few brief moments to enjoy the natural sounds of this scenic spot. So be warned. Unless you like thumping techno trance or whatever genre it is do not go...

-a serene, secluded white-sand beach on Koh Lanta known for its clear water, lush surroundings, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Defo a hidden gem. - sunrise : not so much people. There are some locals though sitting/fishing. -midday: lots of foreigners and tourist poppin. -the beach is so clean and clear. -you can bring your own food and eat at the abandoned restaurant but make sure to keep your garbage andeave no trace of trash. -and also if you ever see a kid playing by himself, he is a sweet kid but he struggles speaking English. I can speak Thai a bit that's why we became close and became friends for a day. His name is Matsuli. If you live in the Kantiang Bay ( pimalai resort, alama sea village, etc) you can easily access this through a 5 min bike ride.

Beautiful remote beach if you want to stear clear from tourist crowds. There’s a little restaurant with a few huts for rent for 10 baht per person. You can also find some shade further down the beach which is what we went for and worked put perfectly. There’s one main tree for shade so if you don’t want to pay for the hut then make sure you are the first one at the beach to grab the shade under the tree- or bring your own umbrella. The waves were quite rough so we didn’t go into the water. Not sure if that’s how it normally is or if it was just that day. Something to keep in mind if you have small children and are looking for a beach that suits them- this may not be it. Would highly recommend otherwise!
