if you want to escape the touristy thailand and get some rest, take a taxi from the airport to on of the closest islands to bangkok called: koh si chang. it will cost you around 15-20 euro. he will bring you to the small boat pier where you can get a 0.6 beer while waiting for the tiny boat that goes to the island.||when i booked the "boat room" i also asked them for a ride from the island port and so someone came to pick us up with the tuk tuk and brought us to the resort. its a bit shabby and old, but aircon works and it was clean. the "boat front - terrace" from the pictures is actually really nice to sit at sundown. we didn't see any other guests while we were there (for 2 nights). there was a nice local seafood restaurant just across from it.||it might not be a place for everyone, as it si definitely far from a luxury place to stay but it was amazing for a runaway from work and the...

Basic backpacking hotel with pros and cons.

Pros: Staff was friendly and helped us find transportation, food, and recommended places to see. Room was large. Good size refrigerator with real freezer! Solid AC. Reasonable walking distance to main part of town.

Cons: Bathroom had problem with sewer gas smell. Room was minimally furnished with no bedside tables, no baggage table/cot. Bed was firm but slightly sagging. Comforters needed washing as they smelled of old sweat. View was nonexistent from the room, and a view of a rotting pier from the waterside. No Wi-Fi (we think - at least we couldn't find it). Beach is on the other side of the island.

In short: a basic...

Excellent rooms and location. The resort owner, his wife are great people, friendly, smiling, helpful and doing their best to please their guests. Some of the hotel rooms used to be real fishing boats but were converted to hotel rooms. The views from these rooms and outside balconies are stunning. The hotel owner wife offered us daily free coffee and light breakfast, coffee, bread and jam, in the morning. Also she drove us to the Pier to catch the ferry for free. The resort has motorcycle to rent to the guest and can organize tours around the island attractions.

Difntley I would recommend this resort to anyone wants value for the money and an...

2000฿ for 1 night. This was by far the worst accommodation I’ve ever experienced. While the location is decent and the common sitting area is well, the rooms and bathrooms are poorly maintained. The sink faucet was broken, the fridge didn’t cool properly, and overall, the facilities were in bad shape. (Have informed staff but she can do nothing)
