Pan & David Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Sichang

A very warm welcome received by David and Pan upon arrival. The restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere, we ordered the food and only had a short wait. I can only say this was one of the nicest thai meals I have ever tasted, fresh fragrant and spicy all spring in your mouth, the fried sea bass was outstandingly brilliant, the sea bass curry was on another level, it was our first visit to Koh sichang and im so glad we found Pan and David's place, im just sorry we didn't get a second opportunity to visit before we left he island. This is a must if you are travelling to Koh sichang for a visit. David and Pan were great hosts and I enjoyed David's talk on Whiskey, Sang som or Hong Thong, you choose ! The food was very disappointing. My "grilled sea bass with herbs" came half frozen, and was reheated in the microwave when I mentioned. It was not grilled at all. But worst of all was it had no flavor at all.The chicken curry my friend had was a bit better, but watery. The food simply lacks love and time to prepare.

The ambiance is nice and by far the most upmarket place on the island (maybe except for some of the larger internal hotels). But even if the food was good, the ambiance doesn't match the price. At least 25-40% overpriced I would say.

Ps if you are looking for a simple but very tasteful dish, have a look across the street: a bowl of rice with chicken in basil for only 70 Bath. This guy knows...

Underwhelming experience with relatively high prices for the food offered.

The pork steak came as a tiny portion, medium rare and undercooked for some inexplicable reason. Had to ask the staff to cook it properly after which they added another small piece of pork as an apology. The pasta was good and came as a proper portion. The fan above was making a very annoying squeaking noise which was turned off after mentioning it. Unfortunately, the staff turned it back on when more guests arrived. They complained about it as well but nothing was done about it anymore It's the only restaurant serving Italian food on the island so it might be worth a visit...
