Baan Sawan — Hotel in Krabi Province

Exceptional value and accommodations for a larger family enjoying Ao Nang and Krabi. Yes, it is a little off the beaten path (which we knew from other reviews) but it is still very close to all that Ao Nang has to offer-- less than ten minutes. We enjoyed the clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms. The air conditioning works great. The pool is refreshing and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the hourly shuttle to Ao Nang and the availability after hours for a reasonable price. Wanchai is the driver and he is a wonderful person, along with his wife and baby daughter who often accompany him. His wife speaks good English and is very helpful setting up outings that are reasonably priced. The owners, Thongpool and Svein, go above and beyond to serve their guests. They really cared well for our family when we needed to stay another night. This is an all around wonderful resort and we hope to return...

Our group had been backpacking through Thailand for two weeks and we decided to treat ourselves to a little luxury instead of staying in a hostel while in Ao Nang. Baan Sawan Resort was all we could ask for and more! We got a private villa for six of us, (three bedrooms with a kitchen, living room and front porch) and could not have been happier. The resort provides a shuttle that runs to the beach every hour and will come pick you up as well. If you want to travel later at night, the price for the shuttle is extremely competitive compared to the local tuk-tuk's lurking about the town area. We stayed at Baan Sawan during the Covid-19 pandemic (5 months). Sven, Oy, and all the staff were incredibly kind, generous, and helpful to us. They helped us get a scooter, buy a birthday cake for my daughter, book some time scuba diving (once the parks opened), and get connected with a very good tailor. Whenever there was a problem with anything I would talk to Sven and it was always dealt with in a hurry. The bungalow is perfectly suited for short term and longterm stays, and if we needed anything for the kitchen we just asked and they helped us out.
