GREAT FOR COUPLES WHILE BEING FAMILY FRIENDLY AND CHILD SAFE

Nice, small, family orientated resort less than 5 minutes walk from the beach (across the road, turn right, first left down the path) The main beach is a 15 minute walk in to the village/town. There is a pool area which the families used a lot and a restaurant area to the rear of the main central building adjacent to reception. It closes about 8pm I believe. Klong Muong Bay is still, relatively, undeveloped so eating options are limited. We had dinner on our first night at the hotel's eatery and it was great and good value. Our room, 407, was on the first floor, at the road end with a "sort of" view of the pool. It was spacious, well set out, nice firm but not hard bed, a sofa and coffee table, kettle and tea making bits. In one corner was a dressing area with a bench and the fridge. Plenty of power sockets. The TV came on but the remote didn't work and there were no buttons at the rear of the TV itself to operate it. Nothing lost from our point of view but might be an issue if you wanted to use it to get the kids settled down at night. The bathroom was modern with a powerful shower although the water did run round to the wall beside the loo such was the force of the flow.

The windows in the dressing area joined up but left a gap and didn't lock but it would take some effort to coming up to get in, unlikely given the area. A squirt of Deet in to the gap helped keep the mozzies out.

All in all a good value, good standard place to stay especially if...

Krabi Klong Muang Bay View Resort (the full name) is my favorite lodging in Thailand. Mostly due to the two beautiful, kind, caring sisters, Are and Pla (if spellings are correct), who seemed to mostly run the resort, along with their wonderful family and their excellent staff. Everyone was so helpful and so nice. I stayed 3 nights but when I return to Thailand I’ll come to Klong Muang just to stay here longer than the first time. The place has a great vibe. The superior double room was large with cool wooden furniture, large balcony overlooking the nice pool. The lights in the room were rather dim and should be remedied in the future. The staff kept the room and the area really clean. The wifi, unfortunately, was virtually inaccessible from the location of my room. The set breakfast offerings were good, but the items on the main menu, including the excellent made-to-order fruit shakes and coffee drinks, were great and reasonably priced, especially for a hotel/resort. The beach can be reached in a couple of minutes by foot, but it’s really rocky in that part. A walk a few minutes on the road until the next access leads to a wide open, empty beach. Or walk over the rocks. 20 minute walk along the beach or the road leads to the town square, where there are more restaurant choices. I’m glad I chose the quieter, slower place of Klong Muang Beach as opposed to Ao Nang or Krabi. I really look forward to staying at this resort again and is the main reason for a...

We booked our stay here thru a booking page, but when we came here we found out we wanted to stay for two more days. This doesn't seem like a problem, but believe me... It was. ||At first they said it was okay and that everything was the bee's knees. On our way to breakfast the day after the day we was supposed to check out, they asked when we wanted to check out, and of course we said "tomorrow."||Then the lady laughed and said "no, today."||Keep in mind this was an hour before we got picked up for the seven islands tour so we got pretty stressed (no time to pack)||We tried to explain that we was in a hurry and that we already had made a deal with them to stay until tomorrow. They did not understand or speak a Word of english, so they just refused it and told us to pack our things before we even could say "pad Thai." Luckily they called a woman who spoke english who transfered us to another hotel. ||We also had a lot of other difficulties trying to communicate with the staff... ||On the other hand - big and clean rooms, the bed was actually really comfy, the shower had warm water, they gave us a lot of complementary bottles of water and they have aircon. No complaints about the rooms!||The location isn't to good, a long walk (20-30 min) into town. No worse than renting a scooter for 200bath. The roads here are pretty neat too. ||30 min drive ti the beach - boats from the beach too Raily and so on..||If you keep to your booking your...

We stayed there for 13 nights with my mother and it was the best hotel for us! Very very quiet and relaxing. The swimming pool is very nice and there's a beautiful garden with chickens and cuddly cats. Comfortable beds and nice rooms. The family that runs the place is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. If you have any question, want to organise a trip/tour, ask for a taxi, just go to the reception, they will help in any way they can! The two sisters helped us a lot, they're very kind, always smiling and always making sure everything is alright. We were a bit sad to leave them so if we're ever in Thailand again, we'll make sure to come back.

We had a wonderful stay here. The place is quiet and peaceful (unless some misbehaving kids are staying which was the case during our stay). The pool is big, walking distance to the main beach. The staff are incredibly nice and welcoming. Breakfast is simple but good. The restaurant is very good and their meals are delicious- we ended up having one lunch and two dinners here and really enjoyed it. The rooms are not that well insulated so light sleepers might need ear plugs. Overall definitely worth the price.
