Having lodged in seven hotels/resorts in the north of Thailand during the last fortnight Mont Goey Pai was the only one I wish we had not stayed in. On returning to our rooms, after a day's hiking, we were dismayed to find that the beds had not been made nor the rooms tidied. My wife telephoned the reception to report same and the gentleman who answered told her that if we were unhappy we could have our money back and go elsewhere! I found this attitude not only disrespectful but it also exhibited an extreme lack of care for a family travelling with two young daughters at night time. In forty years I have never encountered such a flagrant disregard for customer care. No wonder we're the only guests during our time at this establishment.|Luckily we managed to find rooms at a large and splendid hotel in the centre of Pai named The Diamond De Pai which was actually cheaper.|I have never had cause to complain before and it is not something I do lightly however, if I had enemies, and I do not, I would never in a million years suggest they stay at Mont Goey Pai....

There is a restaurant across the street if you don’t want to travel. The menu is in English but none of the staff...
