Normally a pretty quiet hotel, during the holiday seasons and especially those that coincide with the Thai school breaks (March to April, and the first weeks of October), the water park becomes a magnet for masses of families with children. I saw my friend’s post on a normal weekday and they almost had the whole place to themselves. For us, on Songkran we visited. The water park was like lots of floating ants found in an overnight sweet drink left out in the garden. The hotel is also a venue for Chinese tours, and with that, it was packed to the max. Because it was so crowded, it took forever to get from our high 22nd floor down to the lobby during the peak hours. People going up had to queue long to get into the lifts, and on the way down it stopped every 2 to 3 floors to be greeted by frowning guest who could not get in. What made it worst was none of the lifts were airconditioned, so it always smelled like wet sweaty men working out in a gym with faulty ventilation (.. . which
to certain audience may find appealing
. ). Amazingly, our breakfast at 8.30am on both days was smooth with no waiting. The food spread was simple, and it more than suffice for a decent fill-hunger morning meal. This hotel felt like a typical middle-class Bangkok condominium on the lower side of the price range found on the fringes of central business district. Remove the water park and it becomes exactly that. Has a small community pool on the 3rd floor, a small gym and some common areas for chilling-out. The room we had brought me back to our apartment living days. A big bed shoved into a very small bedroom, a side kitchen counter, a small sofa set opposite the TV so near. The typical tiny balcony where the compressor lives and doubles as clothes dryer, and that cubicle bathroom of claustrophobic nature. I am however impressed with the heavy touch of Zen in the lumber colored bathroom. The toilet seat is electrically warmed and has that automatic Japanese wash your backside thing with so many buttons it took time to understood. And the sleep quality in the bed was excellent for the linens and pillows were so lush even some 5 stars hotel don’t match. Surrounding the hotel
well, the main artery road is just outside, there is no beach because this is more the 1km form the nearest shoreline. There are however many interesting restaurants and cafes nearby, but they will require transport of some sort. Opposite is a pet hospital, there is a school nearby and a short walk to the left a restaurant. There is a little outdoor playground across the front porch where our children broke some sweat in the after-breakfast hours. The water park one cannot compare to the large-scale ones. It is minimalistic with just a few sun bathing chairs. To the left of the wave pool there is the kiddy water slide. And up on a higher level a faster slide for that little boost of excitement. On the right are a few pavilions that will always be occupied. It lines another kiddy water section. If one does choose to stay here, do not over-expect to be pampered by the likes of big brand hotel chains. But for the price one pays, it is surely matching what one gets for staying in an amenity overladen condominium. What we love is that they put in quite an effort to set up extra amenities during Songkran. There were staffs dressed in traditional costumes hosting games at the pool, and there was a mini fun fair where the outdoor playground is. They really made sure we guest have a good time. And what we did not like was the checkout experience. But this is to be expected when any hotel is packed beyond capacity. Called for our load of luggage to be taken at 12 for checkout. Was told to wait 30 minutes for there was a queue of request. Waited in the car for a total of 1 hour before we finally got them.

During our recent family vacation to Pattaya, we opted to stay at the Centre Point Prime Hotel, primarily for its child-friendly amenities. This decision turned out to be a delightful one, especially for our 2-year-old daughter who absolutely loved the hotel's playgrounds and swimming pools. The timing of our stay coincided with Thailand's Children's Day, and the hotel hosted an event that was a hit with our little one. For families seeking a hotel in Pattaya with excellent facilities for children, Centre Point Prime is a commendable choice. The pricing, surprisingly reasonable for a 5-star establishment, added to the overall value of our stay. What truly stood out was the warm and attentive service from the staff. From the receptionists to the shuttle bus drivers, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were well cared for. The hotel maintains commendable standards of cleanliness; our room was serviced daily with fresh towels, complimentary water, and coffee. However, one facility that didn't quite meet our expectations was the washing machine. Its limited settings and low spin capacity meant we often had to resort to balcony drying – not ideal in the rainy season. Location is perhaps the Centre Point Prime's Achilles' heel. Nestled next to a busy highway, it's not conveniently situated for spontaneous trips into the heart of Pattaya. The shuttle service, while helpful, has its last run at 20:45, which limits evening explorations unless you're willing to pay for pricey taxis. On the downside, our experience with the breakfast was disappointing. Despite being a 5-star hotel, the breakfast was consistently served cold – a major letdown. Room noise was another issue; the non-soundproof windows did little to muffle the sound of traffic from the highway below, even on the 30th floor. Safety concerns also arose with the presence of combustible materials in emergency stairways, a surprising oversight in fire safety standards. The hotel's amenities, while extensive on paper, often felt more like a checklist to achieve a 5-star rating rather than genuinely useful features. The executive lounge was underwhelming in size and was closed during our visit. Similarly, the spa, boasting only two massage chairs for a large number of rooms, was also inaccessible. In summary, Centre Point Prime Hotel shines as a child-friendly destination, offering great value for families. However, for travelers without children or those seeking a more traditional luxury experience, the hotel's drawbacks, particularly in terms of location, breakfast quality, and noise levels, might lead them to consider other options in Pattaya.

While my stay at the Center Point Prime Pattaya was enjoyable overall, I'd like to highlight four areas for potential improvement to maximize guest comfort and safety: 1. Balcony Safety: Upon check-in to our suite, we discovered the balcony doors were unlocked. With young children present, this poses a safety hazard. I suggest thorough room checks by housekeeping staff or additional locking mechanisms for balconies. 2. Smoking Area Location: The smoking area's proximity to the children's playground is a major concern. Many parents, myself included, found this arrangement unacceptable. Relocating the smoking zone to a less frequented area, such as the seating by the main entrance, would be a more considerate choice. 3. In-Room Air Conditioning: The air conditioner in our room was positioned directly above the bed, making temperature regulation difficult. This caused discomfort throughout the night, affecting our sleep quality. Repositioning the unit, or providing options to adjust airflow direction, would greatly enhance guest comfort. 4. Pool Towel Distribution: The lack of towel service near "The Wave" pool was a significant inconvenience. Guests must walk a considerable distance back to the counter near the kids' playroom to obtain towels. This seems counterintuitive, especially since the pool is a major attraction. Providing towels closer to "The Wave" or clear signage about towel location would significantly improve the guest experience. The room was clean, and the hotel itself was pleasant. Addressing these concerns would elevate the guest experience at the Center Point Prime Pattaya and demonstrate a stronger commitment to customer-focused service.

There is a hotel located in Sukhumvit road standing high and prime - aptly called Centre Point Prime hotel Pattaya it is located by itself away from the hustle and traffic of Pattaya’s CBD but close enough to it!!! After a relaxing and delightful 2 nights here, it is best to say that it is the hotel for all ages - it has everything what you’re looking for!!! We booked a Deluxe Premier King room at Agoda for 150 SGD for 2 nights including a sumptuous breakfast buffet and a towering bird’s eye view of the city of Pattaya. That includes free parking and lots of hotel amenities like their Wave Pool, Inifinity Pool, Gym and Cafe/Restaurant. Considered a 5 star hotel so the price is absolutely remarkable!! We checked in just after lunch and it was quite fast and smooth and they do charge 1K bath deposit cash or card for our 2 nights stay. They have an Amazing driveway with aesthetic copper whales and dolphins which gives you a modern chill vibes. They have lots of parking spaces indoor and outdoor if you have a car. The lobby was as expected very high ceilings with modern circular chandeliers, lots of lounge chairs, cutesy sea stuff toys of whales and sting rays. Free infused and regular iced water self service which is a cool idea. There’s an ATM machine, ice maker and a cafe/restaurant called Bluespice where the breakfast buffer was served. The lobby has very high ceilings with modern Golden ring chandeliers brightly lighting the huge lobby. They lift was on the farther side and they have 3 in total. I was amazed by the speed of the lift because its a 33 storey high condominium and we managed to get into our room at 26F in less than a minute. Our room was near the lift and its a massize 33 sqm again one of the biggest rooms we have in Thailand. Its similar to a condotel style because it has a living room, balcony and kitchenette aside from the Master bedroom. The room was neat, clean and tidy upon our entry. We were greeted by the living room and balcony upon entrance with a view of the city of Pattaya. To our right is the wardrobe and luggage compartments. They have hangers and lots of space here big enough to 5 big luggages to say the least and lots of shoes. They have compartment just above the clothes hanger and a complimentary pillow in case you need ones especially for those with kids which is clever idea. The living room as a Grey lounge sofa for 2 people, a Black glass coffee table with 2 chairs and a large flat screen TV on top of a long rack/cabinets/compartments. The TV has lots of local/cable channels which is a plus for us. They have an airconditioning here which is another plus. There is a glass sliding top to bottom window separating the living room from the balcony. Their balcony is very wide and have a mini clothes hanger but they don’t have lounge chairs here but we don’t mind. We have a magnificent bird’s eye view of the city of Pattaya which is even more dazzling at night. It would be another experience perhaps next time if we have a sea view.||To the left of the main door is the kitchenette equipped with a big Fridge and a huge sink. They provide free complimentary cup noodles on our first night and they replenish us with 4 bottled waters daily so we didn’t even have to buy water anymore!!! They have free coffee/tea and provides us with Kettle/Cups and lots of Tableware. Since its a kitchenette, we have a microwave oven which we used one time for our take away dinner and lots of cabinets here with tableware as mentioned earlier. Beside the Kitchenette is their Japanese style toilet which is quite unique for a Thai hotel!!! The toilet is on the left, working perfectly and feels like were in Japan. Water pressure is strong when flushing and they have a compartment behind the toilet. They provide clean towels here as well, Aromatic handwash, lotion, shower gel and shampoo were also provided in big containers!!! Next is the sink which is another Japanese style made of Beige hard plastic which is seemingly connected and synched with the toilet. It has a huge vertical rectangular mirror with vivid lighting and they provide glass and complimentary toothbrushes together with hand wash and lotion on big containers - the latter was indeed a great surprise for us!!! Next is their elevated shower area divided by a sliding glass door which is spill proof - the showers we took there’s not even a spill of water outside this divider - better than other 5 star hotels. The shower area is also made of Grey Japanese hard plastic flooring called Plastic Resins which are very durable and comfortable to use!!! They only have shower head but its quite unique and genious - you can move its whole body not just the head - another Japanese design and the moment you turn on the water - its warm - not splashing and surprising you with a cold touch just like other showers. From here on you could adjust your desired hear - what a clever design it was!!! ||Next to the toilet is the main bedroom which has its own door equipped with a massive and huge King size Bed!!! The bed is clean, neat and tidy - the blanket has the perfect firmness and softness enough to comfort you for a good night’s sleep. The blankets are thick and soft enough to warm you from the airconditioning. The pillows are fluffy and smooth and just the perfect firmness to sleep and relax your head. There is a side table on the left side of the bed and on the right side but in different designs. The right side table is attached to the wall hear the bed and has a compartment that holds safety box and power outlets which include a USB one. There’s a wall mirror here, hotel deskphone and 2 clothes hanger hook attached above. The bed has a Grey cushioned headrest which is another safety and comfy design in their minds looking after customers. The wall frame has compartments and the overall aesthetics of the bed is Tiffany Blue which matches the overall vibes of the hotel. Just like the balcony, our room has the picturesque view of the city of Pattaya!!! The only thing missing from the bed is the TV which they could have added a small one especially for those guests who love to watch TV at night before they sleep. ||We have availed of their breakfast buffet for 2 days and it was located at their Bluespice restaurant by the lobby. It was the best decision ever because by far they have the best breakfast buffet we had in Thailand. They offer a mix of Western, Asian and Thai dishes as their spreads. Upon check-in, staff will ask you which time you prefer so they can manage the crowds orderly. We took the 9 AM slot the last hour as a late bloomer. The interior of the place is modern, cozy and very aesthetics. We were ushered by staff to sit at their white ceramic square tables and modern Tiffany Blue cushioned seatings. The flooring is made of Black marble which gives the space a cooling vibes!!! The drinks area which includes Coffee/Tea/Juices/Water/Milk are located across you while entering the place. Their main table counter is located right a the middle of the restaurant which offers Thai dishes like Pad Thai, which one of the best Pad Thai I’ve tried - soft Vermicelli noodles, lots of Lime and just a flavourful packed noodles!!! The other side has the main Asian/Western hot dishes that include Rice/Veggies/Meat and Fish while on the opposite side are Dim Sum, Soup and Porridge which were all equally delish and freshly made!!! There is a counter by the left side which serves Thai Chicken noodles - another one I’m looking for a Thai breakfast buffet and usually a regular fix on Thai hotels. The noodles were freshly served with Hot Chicken broth, Tender chicken strips and lots of herbs and spices to finish off this healthy, yummy and aromatic noodles - my fave so far. Just beside the noodle station is their Western fixes of Sausages/Bacons/Eggs/etc. Opposite this table is their massive selection of Breads and Pastries. Bread toasters and Spreads like Butter freshly sliced in chunks are also located here. Then there’s the Egg sections and they serve Hard boiled eggs served on a tray of Sea Salt - what a cute and unique idea it is. The Fruits section are located together with the drinks and they offer a wide variety including Papaya, Watermelon, Dragonfruit, Melon and Passion fruit to name a few. The latter is what I loved the most perfect to pair with a cool, fresh Yoghurt also located at this area. The breakfast experience we have with all those foods and drinks on a very cozy place is perhaps the best part of our stay here at CentrePoint Pattaya better than their wave pool which I will discuss next.||One of the highlights of this hotel especially drawing families with their kids in tow is their Wave Pool, which is part of their Waterpark and Fitness area located at the 3F. Here you could see their Gym and Infinity/Kiddy pools with a view of their neighbourhood. They also have Kiddie Playroom and Function rooms located at this floor. Do note to grab your towels at the Infinity Pool area before going to the Wave Pool. There is a Wave bridge connecting both sides of the park and the walk is about 5 mins. The Infinity pool is about 3 feet deep and has a water slide which both small adults and kids can try. They also have seating area with bubble jets for a relaxing water massage here. We took our Infinity photos and videos at the pool and had a nice, relaxin swim here. Water is also clean and clear but on a bit cold side especially the Wave pool on your first dip. To the left of the Infinity, is the Kiddie Pool with lots of Water fountains and Cute Ocean animal characters for them to enjoy and have fun with. There are loungers and dining tables also at this area if you wanted to have some snacks and drinks. Beside the Kiddie Pool is the Fitness center which is also quite huge, clean and has lot of training equipment. It has a picturesque view of the city of Pattaya and a TV Towels and Water for replenishing. As mentioned earlier, to get to the Wave Pool you have to cross the bridge on the other side. The Wave Pool is the main and popular attraction for kids and families. They have a moderate wave machine that runs sporadically and the water is about 3 feet deep as well. I would say the wave is not too strong for me and its more suited for kids. They also have 2 slides here - 1 higher and smaller. Again, this is more suited for kids and small adults only. This area has bigger dining and seating for your snacks and drinks and lots of sun loungers. Its also the perfect and most beautiful beauty spot to take your lovely photos and videos which we did. We didn’t get to try their snacks and drinks here but the prices are quite reasonable as well.||To conclude my Excellent review of Centrepoint Prime Pattaya, we enjoyed our stay here especially the breakfast buffet, Japanese toilet, Wave Park and the helpful/friendly staff!!! Keep up the Exceptional work Centrepoint Prime Pattaya - we are looking forward to book you again this time together with the kids - my nephews and niece!!!...

Waited in the car for a total of 1 hour before we...

I think the design team’s mandate for this hotel must have been, “Let’s use the least amount of intelligence possible for this project.”

Arrival and Check-In Chaos The arrival and departure area for cars is complete mayhem. Traffic gets backed up easily, and I genuinely feel bad for the front desk staff because it turns into a zoo whenever multiple groups arrive or leave at the same time.

Elevator Nightmare For the number of guests staying at the hotel, having only three main elevators is ridiculous. You waste so much time just waiting, and once you finally get on, it stops at nearly every floor because people keep trying to squeeze in. I saw guests getting on as we were going up, only to ride back down again—it was mind-boggling. The ratio of elevators to guests simply doesn’t make sense. If you’re checking out at 12 p.m, do yourself a favor and leave by 11:30 a.m. to avoid the chaos.

Room Size and Layout The rooms are incredibly small. I read a review that said the hotel photos were cleverly taken, and that’s 100% accurate. The bedroom has just enough space for the bed, and in the “living room” area, there’s barely any room to move around or store luggage.

Breakfast and Service Issues They really need to address the situation with the hostess (AEW) who manages the breakfast entrance. Either she’s doing it intentionally or simply doesn’t know how to do her job—she constantly lets people who arrive after you go in first. There were often empty tables inside while guests were still waiting outside. Sometimes people just walked in without being checked, and she didn’t even notice. Even if some had reservations, this happened far too often and didn’t make sense.

The entrance to the breakfast area is also poorly designed. There aren’t enough seats for guests waiting, so it gets crowded quickly.

Breakfast itself is mostly Asian-oriented. They do have bacon, eggs, and bread, but that’s maybe 10% of the selection. The rest is mainly rice, pad Thai, and similar dishes—just something to be aware of.

Facilities and Amenities Facilities like the gym and sea-view lounge are nice but only open until 8 p.m., which is disappointing. If you’re the type who likes to work or relax later in the evening, that’s not an option here.

Overall Impression The only real positive in my opinion is the kids’ activities, which are pretty good. The price is decent for what you get, but honestly, you can find better hotels that offer similar or superior experiences. You could stay somewhere else and visit a nearby waterpark or other attractions in the city instead.

They also offer massages at the hotel, which might be convenient and cheaper than taking a Grab into town for one—but that’s about it.

If you’re okay dealing with the issues mentioned above, then go for it. Otherwise, there are definitely better...
