Not sure where to start here – other reviews mention the nice people and indeed they were but we were expecting a lot more taking into account the cost was Bt3500 for one night however it turned out this was situated in a rural village and caters accordingly – our ‘deluxe’ bungalow was a large double story – the main bedroom was upstairs and accessed by a very steep and narrow ladder like stairs – it was part brick and part timber with many angles, slopes, shapes and styles – there was a dusty deck overlooking a small klong full of water on arrival and just mud when we left – the resident mosquitoes were waiting for us to arrive – definately Thai style and by that I mean – unusual showers – in the second bedroom it was a wooden half wine vat, no toilet paper (only the iniquitous jet spray), a fridge but no tea and coffee facilities and the satellite TV only had 6 Thai channels – we ate dinner at the room – food was ok but the service slow (1 hour for an orange juice) – breakfast was dismal – Thai style food, no tea bags, no butter, no milk, no knives – I had a cold fried egg on dry toast –on check out no credit card machine (broken I was told but this is not an unusual excuse as in Thailand there is an aversion to paying the Bank surcharge which is often added to your bill and cash in any event is more useable!) oh yes forgot to mention the late night local disco with the wannabe Maria Carey’s next door – not recommended for...

Do yourself a favour and book somewhere around the historic park, with...
