When one thinks of water theme park hotels to let loose our kids in Hua Hin, there are not many to choose from. In fact, there seemed to be only one enormous establishment that everyone knows. What I like to bring forth here is one of few other hotels which boast amenities that can keep our kids occupied all day long. This resort is located at the southern end of Hua Hin in the area known as Khao Tao. In the immediate surroundings there is no fast-food, local eateries, pubs nor convenient stores of any sort. The nearest 7-Eleven is a long walk away which requires crossing railway tracks at the risk of being run over by trains. Therefore, staying here will be best if you have your own transport. The price for a stay is very modest considering that they have a very fun-filled pool featuring a couple of slides from the kiddy to the high thrilling ones. There is another pool, a more attractive one that borders the shoreline. It has a pool bar, pavilions and half-submerged deck chairs facing the ocean. But unfortunately, that is for the residential blocks. We were told it was out of bounds for us. The room we had was decent enough. It was nice, new and clean. A little disappointment here was the shower, the water was not flowing strong for an enjoyable bath. The 2 single beds joined up as one in our room of 30 square meters felt oddly small. Somehow it did not feel like the standard singles unless we are Hobbits. There is a sofa on the ledge which fringes a window. To have that made into a bed with linens laid over will cost an extra THB 500. Breakfast, it sufficed for a good morning meal and had simple things from western to Thai. Their noodles, maybe they weren’t kept properly, were rancid. Otherwise, the rest of their dishes were fine. We had fun with the pancake machine. After breakfast it was the pool again. One must be fast to secure the very limited number of seats available. While watching over the kids in case they drown, we parents chatted away. It was a breezy and cloudy morning. Occasionally, the wind brought along a weird dumpster smell. There could be a dumping ground somewhere nearby maybe. That could be the reason why when we were transversing the corridors to our room, there was a strange unpleasant odor of stale mop. This wraps up the post to share, it was a decent stay where the kids...

On June 20, 2025, we celebrated our beloved son’s birthday — and choosing Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin as the venue was truly one of the best decisions our family has ever made.
From the very beginning — communication, coordination, warm welcome, and attentive service throughout the event — the hotel team provided nothing short of professional, thoughtful, and heartfelt care. Every detail was meticulously handled, and every guest was made to feel warmly welcomed.
The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, clean, safe, and perfect for either a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event. The moment we stepped into the hotel, we felt completely at ease — as if we had arrived at our second home.
Our son absolutely loved everything! He told us this was the happiest birthday he’s ever had.
What impressed us the most: • A beautifully arranged and child-friendly venue that felt both charming and safe • Clean, comfortable rooms fully equipped with all the necessary amenities • Delicious food, thoughtfully prepared for both children and adults • A fun and safe kids’ water park that kept the little ones happily entertained • A genuinely caring and dedicated team who made us feel like family throughout
Everyone in our family, as well as all our guests, were truly impressed and overjoyed with the experience. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire hotel team who made this birthday celebration so seamless and special.
If you're looking for a venue to host a celebration or simply enjoy a family getaway in Hua Hin, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place where unforgettable memories are made.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ Our family gives this place a solid 10 out of 10 — no...
Read more4 star building, 2-3 star service. It’s a nice looking hotel, has a cool water park and in a nice location. The problem is the service, it’s non existent. It began with calling direct to book and being told to use one of the websites. We arrived around 9pm after 8hrs driving with two kids who hadn’t eaten. Nowhere to park except the very end of the hotel car park, a good 5min walk from the lobby, or a sweaty 15min walk with 2 under 5yo kids and several bags and suitcases. No assistance whatsoever, I assumed maybe they had no bell boys or shuttles. I was wrong, they just didn’t actually help with anything. We called ahead, said we’d be checking in around 9pm. Made it to reception, was told the room was being prepared and would take 15 mins - what? Seriously? At 9pm? Again, we’d just driven 8hrs and had 2 young kids who hadn’t eaten. Front desk suggested we ate in the restaurant, so we did. 20 mins later I returned alone to sort our room, after receiving the key front desk and staff watched me on my own attempt to take 2 suitcases. Several backpacks and several carried bags and other luggage to the lift, literally no assistance was offered. It took 2 trips. The next morning I came down to see staff and bell boys assisting several different guests with their bags. After checking out I forgot to mention a 55 baht chocolate bar I took from the mini bar (I took more, just forgot that one item), I was leaving for another 8hr drive and needed to catch a ferry at the end of it, front desk called for payment, I told them this and that I would make payment when I stopped. They called 3 more times over the next few hours, for a 55 baht chocolate bar. Where was that attention during our stay? I travel Thailand regularly, I’ve lived here 10 years and have stayed in 100s of hotels, usually 4-5 star. This is my first time using best westerns, I’m pleased to learn that they are terrible so I avoid...
