As a whole, my stay at the O-Bay resort was satisfying.||||Pros: ||||- The room the room the room! The room I booked on the last floor was of decent size and very stylish. Like it or hate it, but to be honest, I really liked the special design. Although there was no balcony, the room offered stunning views over the city in the early morning. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the room. I wish there were more stylish and design rooms like this one in Thailand.||||- I have stayed in this hotel a few times over the last five years and it's still looking sparkling clean and brand-new. ||||- Excellent location in the charming Prachuabkhirikhan city center||||- Very quiet. I slept very well||||- Good price||||- There are more international channels available on the TV nowadays||||Cons:||||- Lack of amenities in the room, i.e. no safety box, no coffee, no kettle||||- The marble-like bathroom's floor is very stylish but extremely slippery. Watch your steps!||||- The water flow of the shower head was erratic. That was either a boiling trickle of water or a strong cold water jet. This should be fixed. ||||- Very basic service. The reception staff should be trained. When I checked in, there was no staff at the reception, so I had to call the owner in order to get my room. After a few minutes, a young lady came down to the reception. Although I can speak Thai, it seemed to me that the staff didn't know much about what was "going on".||||- No lift||||Recommended as a whole. Good value, with...
Read moreArrive here after 6 hours drive from Ko Samui. Never been the PKK town but been to Hua Hin many times. Nice modern hotel not too far off the highway makes this an ideal stop-over hotel. Car parking is provided. Location is not too far from everything.||||Budget hotel but probably one of the nicest hotel in PKK town. Cannot seems to see or find many new hotels in PKK making this my hotel of choice.||||Room is huge with great contemporary design but clearly lacks finishing. Rooms are without privacy shades, only the thick blackout curtains. Usually hotel has two layers of curtains which is usefull when you only want sunlights in. ||||Bathroom area are all cemented and no tiles? Seems strange cause can see moulds on corners, etc.||||But for the price, very good overall. Been to much much worse hotel in my lifetime with bigger price tag, especially when living in...
Read moreOverall good hotel within town centre. Pros: Spacious room that can easily accomodate up to 3 adults, comfy bathroom size, comfy mattress and decent TV channels mainly local Thai selections, brightly-lit room with huge windows. Cons: shower water pressure, difficult to adjust for warm shower water (it’s either too hot or simply too cold), no elevator so had to walk from ground floor to the upper floors. Although the town seems to be safe however no security seen at the premise of the hotel besides the receptionist. Overall a good place for a short stay. The shop next to the hotel serves good rice/rice soup/congee for breakfast (not part of the hotel - just...
