Purimuntra Resort And Spa — Hotel in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Purimuntra resort used to be our favorite place to stay at Pranburi beach. We loved the fact that the resort has oceanfront rooms and competitive price. However, our past weekend visit was a nightmare. My brother cut his foot on a broken pool tile while swimming with his children and me in the only resort’s swimming pool. He got a huge gash on his foot and was bleeding so much. We called front desk staff for help. Two ladies came in with the mini first aid basket that had only cotton balls, bandages and saline water. There was a pool of blood around his foot and nothing could stop it. I asked the staff if there was any nearby hospital or clinic where I could take him to get stitches. …Shocking!! They had no idea. We had to find out by ourselves who are from out of town. ||||I understand accidents can happen but the resort didn’t take any action. We expected an apology, responsibility of the medical bill, or at least shutting down the pool but non of those was done. No one called to see how my brother was doing at any time and we were basically ignored for the remainder of our time there. I couldn’t imagine if this had happened to my brother's children.||||Before we left, we examined the pools and noted many other broken tiles surrounding the pool. There is an expectation of a certain safety standard for every hotel/resort and this resort came nowhere near meeting that standard. Guest safety should be their priority but they don’t seem to take it seriously. That is unacceptable! ||||I don’t usually like to leave a review unless it concerns the danger. I hope this message will be a wake up call to them and fix the damn pool before many more...

We enjoyed our stay here very much. This is a cozy small, very tropical resort right on a very clean beach. Our room was a good size with a nice balcony. We also had a sea view. The deluxe rooms are upstairs and have varying degrees of sea view. The superior rooms are downstairs and look upon the garden. Though not extensive the garden areas are pleasant, punctuated with water features and a swimming pool.||||This is an older resort but it is adequately maintained. Room was cleaned daily and very clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating. ||||The breakfast was excellent and generous. We were offered 3 western and 1 Thai set as choices. Very big and tasty.||||I would add a caution for the mobility challenged. The shower is in a walled in bathtub enclosure, and access over a large threshold and small entrance can be very awkward. There are no hand holds.||||They offer secured, covered parking for private vehicles, a real plus.||||There is free wifi in all areas, though a bit slow.||||It appears that all of the resorts here are overpriced compared to other areas. We got a 36% last minute/low season discount and that made the price acceptable. The normal pricing is excessive.||||Overall our stay was very relaxing and pleasant,...

We had dinner here and I can only strongly recommend to come here. The resort's best days are over for ages. It is not well maintained anymore and we found it particulary interesting to find out that it has 4 star rating. We stayed at the Sheraton next door, a 5 star resort and this place looks more like a 3 star place. |We only had dinner there, the first offered table had doves nesting above us and after moving to another table the food arrived. |It was a total rip off considering prices for mains between 250 and 450 baht.|We had fried chicken with thai herbs as a starter and it was chicken wings with fried onions like the one you buy at the store....|Main was Chicken with cashew nuts and it was basically just nuts, peppers and only 3 tiny pieces of chicken.|If you can, do not go to this place.|It is really poor and there a few places where you get better food for...
