Aleenta Restaurant — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

I was riding from Sam Roi Yot to Hua Hin in the morning and wanted to stop for breakfast. I am vegan and I saw that this restaurant had vegan breakfast options.

The first problem was at reception, when we asked where the restaurant was we were told that they were only serving the breakfast buffet and that it was 750 baht per person. We almost left but decided to see if we could order food from their breakfast menu. Luckily we could so we sat down to order.

The next problem was that none of the vegan items were on their breakfast menu. When I asked the server for the vegan menu she informed me that the vegan menu wasn’t available until 11:30. I got there at 10:30, an hour too early.

It doesn’t make sense that vegan breakfast items like tofu scramble and vegan French toast are available after breakfast. We were the only two customers in the entire restaurant and still they wouldn’t let us order from the vegan menu.

The third problem came when we ordered what we could from their breakfast menu. I ordered a coconut yogurt bowl that was labeled as dairy free and vegan. It was terrible. I forced myself to eat as much as I could stomach before giving the rest to my partner. My stomach hurt and I felt nauseous after eating it. My partner who is vegetarian ordered an omelette with hashbrowns and a salad. The hashbrowns were ok. However, my partner found hair in their omelette and two ants on the lettuce in the salad.

For such a highly rated and expensive restaurant the food and service were not great. The staff were very polite but not accommodating to vegans. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are hoping to order off of the vegan menu for breakfast. The price isn’t worth the quality. This is my first 1 star review in my life. I am very sory, but the food was simply unacceptable. They bring us a NOT COOKED PIZZA! how is possible??? Sorry but I would recommend to AVOID this restaurant

I really appreciate your kind response, and I have no intention of further criticizing your restaurant, which by the way is very nice and well-kept. I'm Italian and I know a little about pizza :-) Obviously I don't expect a perfect pizza in Thailand, (even if there are really excellent pizzerias, sometimes even better than those found in my country) but I guarantee you that the pizza that was delivered to me was totally raw, looked like it was microwaved 1 minute ... Then let's forget the quality of the mozzarella and the ingredients, you can check it from my photo. I am sure that your staff, as they have given you the details, will not have forgotten that I had ordered tacos, that I have never been brought, that I had asked for another beer, which was never brought to me, without any. explanation. Obviously, being late and not being able to go to another restaurant, as I was hungry I ate the second pizza, but I had to leave all the mozzarella, as it was inedible. Our stay at Aleenta Resort in Hua Hin was an excellent break from our busy life in the city. We stayed in an ocean front villa on the views and sound from the sea were splendid! Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the resort, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the restaurant. The menu has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting. I have never tasted such an excellent gastronomic treat in my whole life!
